Characteristics
Established in 1898 near the East Yorkshire coast, Hornsea Golf Club offers a unique blend of parkland tranquility and links-style challenges. Originally designed by Sandy Herd with later touches by Alister MacKenzie and James Braid, the 18-hole course features mature fairways lined with gorse and wind-blasted thorns. The famous inward stretch, known as the 'Hornsea Mile,' leads golfers towards the iconic water tower. A highlight is the 17th hole, 'Rolston Dip,' a signature Par 3 played to an elevated green. Facilities include a fully stocked pro shop, a high-tech studio, and a welcoming clubhouse.
