Hawick Golf Club

Vertish Hill, TD9 0NY Hawick, Roxburghshire, UK

Characteristics

Hawick Golf Club, the oldest in the Scottish Borders, offers a unique test of golf on the slopes of the Vertish Hill. Renowned for its stunning panoramic views stretching from the Cheviots to the Solway Firth, the course is a masterpiece originally extended by James Braid. The undulating terrain demands strategic play, particularly at the famous 16th hole, "McLaren’s Miracle," named after the legendary commentator Bill McLaren. After the round, the Pavilion Cafe provides a welcoming atmosphere with fresh local produce.
