I last played the course about 10 years ago and thought I'd take another look.
I was warmly welcomed by the club manager in the office and booked my tee time about 30 minutes later.
In the restaurant next door, I fortified myself with an espresso and sensational apricot cake, and a little later, without great expectations, I arrived at the first tee.
A member of the golf course booked himself in with me, politely asked me as I teeed off on hole 1 if that was okay with me, and we started the round together.
I have to honestly admit that the course was in perfect condition, the greens were fast, the new green bunkers were playable and visually a dream.
It's hard to believe that you're not far from Vienna's city limits; the scenery in the Vienna area is really hard to beat.
After the round I fortified myself with a good pinsa and am already looking forward to my next visit, hopefully with such a nice flight partner.

A very hilly place with sometimes quite short tracks. Driver only needed twice. But don't be fooled, the course is not easy to play, you almost never stand straight, often have blind shots and should be able to play straight. Hole 2, a par 5, is almost 550m long, a dogleg and has huge differences in altitude. You will be challenged properly. If you know the place, it's a little easier, but it's always exciting.
Excellent course maintenance, beautiful fairways and greens that are not easy. Very nice secretariat, extremely friendly members who are willing to give strategic tips. Restaurant currently on the back burner as tenant has gone bankrupt. You only get little things, but they are very good and you sit on a pretty terrace under blooming wisteria. It's hard to believe that you're only a few kilometers outside of Vienna.
The four of us were very satisfied and will definitely be back...

The Range is not managed. Only 150 meters long, today only by mats. To warm up more ok not.

Beautiful 9-hole course on the outskirts of Vienna and in the Vienna Woods.

Only the driving range is a bit too small and too short.

Staff in the Secretariat and in the club restaurant are all very friendly and helpful.
Here you can still complete a quick 9-hole round and end it with a final drink in the clubhouse or on the terrace then the day after work.
