The young Golf Club Lägern enjoys visistation rights on the Golf Park Otelfingen in the attractive region of the Furt-Valley, close to Zurich. The course was gently integrated into the existing terrain and presents next to water, ponds and pools few trees and forest. An excellent course which is not difficult to negotiate, however the greens can be speeded up a bit and the grass along fairways trimmed, as it lays a premium on keeping it straight. Anything moderately off the fairway is lost due to the dense grass.

Last Thursday, August 24th, I took part in a 2-man scramble in a golf tournament organized by Migros Bank.
My distance result of 16.5 cm to the specified yellow line, which I achieved on the course, for the "nearest-to-the-line" hole 7 women's competition, was clearly and legibly entered into the existing list on the course.

In my opinion, the place is described quite aptly in most reviews. Not a jewel but always well cared for. And the friendliness next to the square is very pleasing for such a large operation.
What I have noticed over the years is that the fairways are in good condition after the summer, because they are quite dry. Apparently, the subsoil and drainage are so optimal that the course differs positively from many other courses, especially in autumn. No muddy ground after normal downpours and a semi that is also playable at this time of year.
The fact that the place is almost always full is also an advantage for me. The accordion operation with different flight sizes is rare here. The pace is ok, if not particularly fast. But in 4:15 you can usually get through.
