The Golf-Club Worms is a small, familial golf club with a relaxed atmosphere- very hospitable and uncomplicated. The broad, even and open fairways that are situated far away from the next one are very beginner-friendly. On the other hand, the doglegs, water hazards, bunkers and finely modelled greens challenge experienced golfers.

Great 9-hole course including a relaxed atmosphere

Today I played the 9 holes of GC Worms as part of a Tiger&Rabbit tournament (a first for me on this course, as I had never been there before).
Reception: Very friendly and uncomplicated (including a cuddly dog in the office ;-)
Course: Great 9-hole layout: Well-maintained( despite the previous heat), short distances between the fairways, fairly placed water hazards, par 3+4+5 holes, minimally hilly, but 90% flat, different tee boxes if you make it an 18-hole round from 9 holes :-)
I agree with a previous commenter: The greens are rather soft and somewhat slow.
Weather dependent: Today it was quite windy there as the campsite is almost directly on the Rhine and nothing can stop the wind, so be prepared for a "stormy round" in windy weather ;-)
Since I played for free as Tiger today, I find the usual green fee absolutely appropriate (in fact, very cheap for what you get).
The members there are all friendly and easygoing (thanks again to my "Rabbit" for the fun and relaxed group!)
Conclusion: If you are in the area or plan to play there: IT'S WORTH IT!

I can only agree with the previous speaker, whose description made me curious about this course, so that on October 11th, 2023 I took advantage of the beautiful autumn weather to play this course myself. From Hesse via Gernsheim, then taken by car ferry to Rhine-Land-Palatinate, then the Worms Golf Club is immediately on the right. People are nice in the club, the food was good too. Then you go - without a start time, wonderful - to track 1 on the spiral. And then 9 lanes open up, none of them the same, but all in surprisingly good condition and well maintained. Par 5 even included, par 3 and 4 anyway. The tracks (including doglegs) require straight play, so "highways" should not be expected here. The greens are soft, therefore a bit slow, but there are hardly any pitch marks to be seen. Hardly any Egyptian geese and their droppings to be seen, as is usual in the area (see the description of GC Gernsheim, which is not far away). And if there is another golfer behind you, you can continue casually in pairs. To be honest, I had a really nice afternoon of golf.

Played on 19.8. It's amazing when everything has dried up all around this year and you come to this place and everything (fairways and greens) is lush green. Friendly reception in the secretariat, you feel welcome as a guest. 9-hole course with two different tees for the second 9 holes. The tracks are nice and long, of course everything is flat as it is on the Rhine knee. Doesn't detract from the love for this place. A few "tricky" holes but otherwise the long hitter is in demand. Little rough on both sides, low ball loss, very good greens - golfers, what more could you want. I won't go into more detail because everything has been said in the previous good reviews. 5 stars for a 9-hole course is unusual. But here the overall package is right: course maintenance, secretariat, excellent gastronomy, driving range if you just want to hit a few balls, good pitching and putting green and that free of charge, member of Albrecht Golf for an already cheap green fee (48 € daily green fee). If you are in this area, then this is actually a "must have"
