Characteristics
The 18-hole-championship golf course and the 6-hole short course are situated southwest of Munich on an undulating terrain of c. 170 acres in a natural park landscape. Despite the open layout of the fairways, the skillful strategic arrangement of bunkers and water hazards (especially at holes 10, 11, and 12) requires very precise shots.

An exemplary well-kept facility!
For me as an average golfer, the round was a pleasure. Beautifully laid out tracks with a lot of trees. Wide fairways forgive some inaccurate strokes. Perhaps not the most challenging layout for top golfers. Course in top condition, from the tees to the fast, very directional greens. Overall, I found the back nine a tad more "exciting" than the first half.
Modern secretariat / registration with a first-class, perfectly designed pro shop with a huge selection. I haven't seen anywhere like this before. I was a little disappointed by the design of the restaurant (separate building / old villa) and especially by the "club terrace", which is more like a plain beer garden. Simple tables / chairs on gravel. That can be done much better.
But the space is important - and therefore full 5 asterisks

There are around 50 golf courses within a 50 km radius of Munich, around a dozen of these are among our favorites - Wörthsee is one of them.
It is a great, very spacious complex that is lacking in anything.
The very wide fairways are in a not completely flat terrain that is easy to walk, ensures a certain degree of sportiness - especially the long par 4. It is a place that the driver loves, you can really give full throttle because trees do not disturb, but masterfully placed bunkers lurk on the balls - they are easy to play. Thanks to the dry weather conditions, the fairways were hard, resulting in many free meters. Great greens with lots of nice breakes and very good speed served us a couple of three putts.
The Amen Corner - in Augusta National it's holes 11,12 and 13, here holes 10,11 and 12 - punished us all in some way. One was too short, the other too long or crooked - in short, the balls went diving. The greens also forced us to work extra, this corner ruined our scores.
The place is very well maintained and maintained - a few damaged areas of the "winter-spring" are still visible and noticeable.
We are of the opinion that Kurt Rossknecht - at the beginning of the 1980s - succeeded in creating a masterpiece - we count it among his best. We particularly like the redesign at the beginning of the millennium with the new greens and the new Amen Corner.
We are all united - five stars with no ifs or buts. He is rightly in the Top 100 of Germany, he is also a member of the Association of Leading Golf Clubs of Germany.
It was great fun - the weather was thirsty - more than 30 degrees. Today's bill that this place gave us still has to be paid, we'll be back.
