Characteristics
The 18-hole course is situated in a typical Lower Rhine landscape with brooks and biotopes. The last seven holes can definitely be called hilly, but the other fairways are mostly flat. The symbol of the club is a natural monument, a 1000-year old oak, standing in the middle of the course. Apart from the 18-hole course, there is also a 9-hole public course (par 56) for golfers who are no members of any club- "Golf for everyone!"

Played on 2/9/2020. The predominantly flat 18-hole golf course with an attached 9-hole short course is located north of Oberhausen approx. 8km from the A3 in a quiet rural setting. The tracks are framed by ingrown trees and have the appearance of a parkland course, with most of the tees being very open and therefore also well suited for higher HC. There is relatively little rough, but there are a few water hazards, biotopes and well-placed bunkers. Water comes into play for the first time at lane 2 (PAR3). In the pond along the path you will be accompanied by a mighty carp begging for food. Things really get going on the back nine at 10 with a PAR3 island green. Then you can expect 6 doglegs. At 13 you have to weigh up whether to present or carry over the biotope or as a long hitter directly over the forest bend on the left towards the green. The way from 11 to 12 is a little longer and leads past the handsome hotel. The condition of my game was perfect, the fairways well mowed, lush green, even if one or the other mole has left its mark here and there. The greens were in great shape, often a little undulating, fast but faithful. The game on a Wednesday morning was brisk. I had reserved my start time online one day in advance. As a single player, two four-member flights let me through relatively quickly, so I was able to play relatively quickly. The standard green fee of € 65 on weekdays is appropriate. 80 € on the weekend is already at the upper limit from my point of view. You can save 10% with the voucher from the Golf Albrecht book. Thankfully and in a way that promotes golf sports, no surcharge will be accepted for golfers without a hologram. The employee in the secretariat served me as a guest in a more business-like manner. But the lady in the pro shop was all the friendlier. If the secretariat is closed, you can pay at the green fee mailbox by the toilets. There is a driving range where you can draw balls from the machine with euro pieces and there is also a practice area for pitch and chip right at the entrance to the club. The putting green is right in front of the clubhouse / restaurant. Overall, a solid facility that is worth a visit.
