Characteristics
The ambience of the golf course is different compared to clubs in the surrounding area. Already afar you can spot the moated castle Westerwinkel, which was built in 1663. The castle can be seen from most of the 18 fairways, which are partly are lined with more than 100 years old trees.

We were here today (March) to play golf. Super friendly welcome, absolutely helpful.
The course was quite wet due to the weather, but playable. Tee boxes were open, greens were OK for the time of year. The paths to the next tee were excellently signposted with distances indicated. The golf course runs around the moated castle with wide fairways and several water hazards.
There are 2 motorhome pitches. Our motorhome is about 7.20 meters long, so only a van will fit.
However, I believe that the two people from the registration would find a solution for every problem.
We were very satisfied, especially because everyone (registration and golfers) was super friendly. Definitely a thumbs up for that.
We will definitely play the pitch again at a better time of year.

I (HCP 11) last played the course in the summer of 2023, and again in mid-May 2025. It's almost unrecognizable: very well-maintained, great greens, fast and true to the line. In some areas (tee landing areas), the rough could be removed a bit better... otherwise, I highly recommend it. Hopefully, this condition will remain this way in the long run; then we'll be happy to come back. Kudos and thanks to the club manager and greenkeepers for their fantastic work.

Beautiful golf course with central parking for motorhomes

Place:
A very beautiful park, it's fun to play on the well-maintained course. The holes are very varied and not boring at all, and the greens were very well-maintained for the time of year.
The secretary was very nice and accommodating.
Sanitary facilities:
All showers were in perfect condition and the sanitary facilities were very clean.
Restaurant:
The food was delicious and reasonably priced, with friendly service. Closed on Mondays.
Motorhome parking space:
There are two designated extra pitches with electricity (€10 per night, March 2025) and a very central location. Very short distances to tee 1, the driving range, and the putting green. I think the pitch is suitable for motorhomes up to 7 meters.
We really enjoyed it and would recommend the place.
