We (HCP 15.8 and 29.5) spent a golf week in Salzburg in September 2021, with the Brandlhof (very appealing hotel with all the finesse!) In Saalfelden being our starting point and we played the courses in Brandlhof, Urslautal and Zell am See / Kitzsteinhorn several times to have. In our opinion an ideal golf area, you have a seat in front of the door, Urslautal is 10 minutes away, Zell about 15 minutes. With the Golf-Alpin Card the green fees are cheap, Urslautal is even in the Fairway2Hotel.
Here is the rating for the Urslautal: Overall: The cozy. First of all: We hardly know any golf course that pampers the eyes and soul as much as the Urslautal does when the weather is nice. It's simply wonderful here, the mountain panorama plus the wonderful vegetation with countless flower meadows. The course is well maintained, a little deep in places despite the drought. Impeccable greens, bunkers and fairways too. As a golfer, you are rarely really challenged; you can usually really start playing and enjoy the flight of the ball. One should only keep an eye on the numerous biotopes. We are surprised that something is still growing there, so many balls are thrown into it and are never seen again. Otherwise you can score well, as the lanes are neither overly long nor particularly tricky. But why do you need a golfing challenge in this dream area! By the way: very appealing gastronomy with a terrace from which you have another breathtaking view.
