Anyone expecting a sensational PGA place is wrong here. But anyone who wants to experience a nice game of golf in a very informal and unconventional atmosphere is right here. Some really interesting fairways, which lead past horse pastures, an animal park or through meadow orchards, put a smile on the golfer's face. You can see that an 18-hole course was created here from a nine-hole course, which was definitely not created by a star architect. But the lovingly maintained fairways and the informal atmosphere make this appear completely secondary. A small drawback are some greens. The course is wonderfully suitable for beginners and also offers a lot of fun for advanced skiers. An absolutely recommendable place for little money.

Played on November 18th, 2020. The flat 18-hole course is located in the Münsterland approx. 4km from the A31 between Borken and Dülmen in absolute tranquility and nature. The course of the tracks is very different. Lanes 1 to 8 run through more open terrain. From the 8 to the 9 you go a longer way through a forest. Hole 9 and also 13 (both PAR 3) are played between tall trees. The lanes 10 to 12 are then rather open again, whereby you should play strategically when playing on the green of the 12, as only a narrow corridor through again high trees allows access to the green in front of the green. The lanes 14 to 17 are then rather open again. After the 17 you go back through the forest to the 18. One problem is that the players who only want to play 9 holes come from the 8 then meet the players who come from the 17 on the 18th tee. Some of the holes are varied with a few water hazards or doglegs (especially hole 16), but many lanes usually only go straight ahead and bunkers do not come into play. Especially on the first 8 lanes, the greens are rather small and slightly raised. This seems to be a rather older part of the complex. There is no PAR 5 at PAR 33 on the front nine either. The back nine add up to PAR 70 on PAR 37. The maintenance condition was just OK for the time of year. The grass on the fairways was actually too long, with autumn leaves and greens everywhere very slowly. There were winter discounts, but the same for men and women. The game was busy on a sunny and unusually mild Wednesday morning in November. A two-person flight (due to corona) after the other went around. Since there are no starting times, you line up on the 1st tee. So there was a little traffic jam on the first tee. Then it went quickly through the round, especially since some players stopped during the round. Basically the atmosphere is rather relaxed and unconventional, most of the members gave a friendly greeting. The appropriate and moderate green fee (currently € 40 on weekdays and weekends) is paid in cash directly to the nice owner at the counter and off you go. A surcharge for golfers without a hologram is not charged in a thankful way that promotes golf. In addition to the first tee, there is also a small driving range where you can pull balls for € 2. There is a small practice area next to the clubhouse, although the clubhouse with restaurant (not tested / currently closed) is more like a courtyard. The entire facility is probably, somewhat unusual, operated by the owner family themselves. If you want to play a more relaxed round, don't expect any extraordinary highlights and don't expect a noble meadow, you've come to the right place.
