Almost perfect

For long time I had this course on my ToDo list. This summer during my vacation I had chance to play. I made reservation over the phone in the morning, and course was already busy they hook me up with couple from Swiss at 11:10. When I arrived I seen nice scenery and very good organization, receptionist was very friendly and helpful. Price is a bit higher compare to other courses, however I do understand why. I had bit problem to pay my drinks in restaurant with my card, since they accept bills over 10Eur, but they accept it at the end. Training facilities are close to clubhouse. Its multi level driving range, I like it. Orientation on course was very easy, signs everywhere. Would only appreciate birdie book in English. Starter was very friendly guy, who was already giving advises, and offer free apple, (not the iPhone :D). Course starts with easy par 4. I had bit problem that I cannot drive with buggy on fairways, only some, but get used to it. Fun shots starts already on hole 3 par 5 with shot over the ditch. Following very nice hole 4 short par 3 with great view. On front nine there is many interesting shots. You need to be accurate, not as long but accurate. Fairways are guarded by trees and water in many cases. Love the view and front 9 better than back 9. I suggest take a buggy especially if you hike day before, its really up and down. Back nine starts with tough par 5, at last psychologically. Than its open up a bit. I love the shot over the horses heads :D on 12th hole. Fun starts there and graduated on hole number 15th nice par 3 with elevation difference about 130 meters. Really nice. You will finish your round full of emotions. Overall its really beautiful course, however the value for your money its a bit overrated, nevertheless will come back one day.

This is as good as you get in the mountains. Imaginative course design, with tough holes, where tactics rather than power come into play. There are plenty of holes to open your shoulders though. Excellent greens, super service both in the club house and in the restaurant. Buggies are on cart paths so walk if you can.

This is a beautiful golf course with a very challenging layout and some difficult holes. Like a box of chocolates, you don't know what's coming next. Boredom has no chance. There are still many more spectacular tee-offs and the view is wonderful everywhere. Course is difficult, blind holes, sloping slopes, long holes, undulating greens on which the ball never stays where it should.
Playing golf is fun in the best autumn weather with a sunny 21 degrees. The condition of the place is first class. Big praise to the greenkeepers.
It's difficult to walk the course. Many of the tracks are too long and too steep and if there are several flights with buggies outside, you will otherwise find yourself in trouble. The restaurant has very tasty South Tyrolean delicacies. We'd love to come back.

Just the journey gives you an idea of what to expect - it goes uphill with lots of curves - this course is located at almost 1000 meters above sea level in the middle of the UNESCO World Heritage Site. You won't be disappointed...
Santer and Schlern guard the spectacular golf course, great view of this mountain world and an equally great panorama - you can award five stars for that.
This course offers a course with sometimes very violent terrain transitions, constant ups and downs in lively succession, but also short walks from the green to the tee.
The layout is very good in accordance with the terrain, there is no lack of variety, with very good and difficult greens. Most of these follow the terrain, resulting in significant differences in level. They got enough water, so they are soft but still very easy to play - the speed was right.
The vegetation on the playing ground is rather rustic, as is usual for such high altitudes, and so is the maintenance accordingly.
We had great fun after adjusting to small woods and long irons. Right at hole 1, the balls said goodbye when we sent them on the round with Fat Bertha.
Despite the car, it was a very sweaty lap, over 35 degrees, hardly any difference to the temperatures in the valley.

I was the last to play the course on my South Tyrol golf tour in late autumn, a few days before the course was closed. I had chosen it mainly because it was rated well and was in the direction of Brenner from Bozen. So I was able to "take" him with me on the way home. Late in October at 10:30 a.m., the square was still in the shade. The tracks were frosted and frozen. At the reception I was informed that my start time had been pushed back by about 20 minutes. Only then would the sun come around and thaw the lanes and greens. After a short exchange and thinking about going home right after the round, I decided to take a cart - a good decision!
Unfortunately, the driving range (all day) and the practice facilities (due to the frost) were also closed. In return, I received a discount on the green fee. I fully understand the closings - under these conditions the greens would be closed for the whole day. Worth mentioning at this point: The green fee was quite high compared to the courses I played before. However, I would pay the price again at any time to play this wonderful course again.
Fairways and greens were in good condition, depending on the season. The greens were, however, a bit hilly and riddled with grooves (possibly from sand?). Overall, the fairways were relatively dry and easy to play - with the exception of a few areas that were permanently in the shade and were a bit "muddy" - this can certainly be attributed to the time of year.
Overall, I was absolutely thrilled by the place due to its location and the view over the wonderful mountains of the Dolomites. I also found the tracks very nicely laid out and fair. A balanced ratio of difficulty, beauty but also feasibility. Some tees pose challenges for the golfer, especially the PAR3 or PAR4 tees with height differences of probably 30.40 or more meters. If you don't let that deter you, the tee-offs aren't that difficult - provided you trust your swing. A small yard with a few cows and horses is more or less integrated into the square. It contributes to the character of the square and emphasizes the location of the square in the heart of a rural mountain landscape. Despite the sometimes strongly increased discounts or increases from the tee, the course plays extremely fair. So humiliated and played down the state of health has never been someone like this woman!
The fact is: THIS PLACE IS IN HEALTH RESTRICTIONS, WHETHER HIP, KNEE, HEART, WHATEVER DESPITE CART UNMARKABLE!!! The paths from cart to fairway (with several clubs, as you never know what is needed) and back are too steep and cost tremendous power. As I said, with health restrictions and for older golfers.
