Characteristics
Situated ca 25 miles north of Munich, this course provides for a diversified but sophisticated game. Holes 1 to 9 were laid out in the vast meadowland of the river Illm. While holes 1 to 3 call for long shots, holes 5 to 7 feature ponds and water ditches, thus demanding a great amount of precision. Nestling in the gentle slopes of the tertiary uplands, holes 10 to 18 are the most sophisticated and require a good physical condition.

Plus the modern clubhouse, great sanitary facilities and a top restaurant.
Absolutely recommendable!
We visit many different golf courses every year with our motorhome. This is one of our favorites.

The first nine holes are relaxed to play, but flat terrain is exciting and challenging to play due to several water hazards, especially when attacking. Not so advanced players get along well. Stay a little shorter to be on the safe side.
Sportsmanship is required on the second nine holes. An electric trolley is advisable, because it often goes uphill steeply. But that's exactly what makes it exciting. In addition to inclines, hillsides, a stream, trees and other details also challenge playful ability and physical condition.
Personally, I found the backline more interesting and better. Just sport and an incredibly beautiful golfing experience on a super nice course that is in perfect condition.

Well cared for and exceptionally rich green for this dry summer. The long-awaited rain had recently fallen, so that the entire golf course presented itself as "lush green".
The Front 9 run mostly flat on the opposite side of the street in the Ilm floodplains. The first lanes offer a good start to get into the game before the challenge is increased. There are doglegs, you play over various streams, sometimes on wider fairways, and in between there are also a few ponds. Lane 7 (par 3) was expanded this year to include a moat around the green, high pampas grass/reeds grow behind the green, optically very nicely prepared.
The Back 9 start right next to the clubhouse. From now on, the square shows a completely different face. The layout impresses with some large differences in height. A par 3 down into the valley, an initially flat par 5 with a 90° dogleg to the green that feels like 25m uphill.
We recommend booking an e-cart for the Back 9 in order to be able to enjoy the ups and downs that are necessary for the game.
The fairways continue to run hilly, with tees from aisles on fairways in the valley, through depressions or on elevated greens, which can be played uphill.
The 18 ends at the clubhouse, which is modernly equipped and is home to the club office, changing rooms and a great restaurant. On the terrace you can end the eventful day of golf appropriately.
