Played with Matthias A in June : nice course
4.0 of 5 starsReviewed July 15, 2018
Played this course in June 2018. Most beutifull Golf course on the North-West side of Frankfurt. Quite difficult course, very quietin the middle of the forest. Not cheap : 45,00 € for 9 holes.

All round disappointing!
1.0 of 5 starsReviewed June 24, 2023
The course is extremely boring, the only challenge is the surprise of where the ball will roll after a good shot. The mutual cooperation is unfortunately very inconsiderate, loud shouting and playing the ball from the neighboring fairways is standard, there is hardly any distance between the flights.
The green fee is way too expensive (50€/9L), especially considering the mediocre condition of the fairways and greens.
The bad impression is complemented by the club restaurant, which closes 1 hour before the end of the day and doesn't even serve drinks anymore, as the quote: "a tournament already took place today."
Conclusion: all round disappointing!

Parkland with slopes and great views
4.0 of 5 starsReviewed August 11, 2022
Played on 8/9/2022. The club with the 18-hole "Rheinblick Golf Course" is located west of Wiesbaden, about 5 km from the nearest motorway junction, in absolute peace and nature in the middle of a forest area. Accordingly, the tracks are a pure parkland course. Until a few years ago, no guest players were allowed on the facility, which was probably run under American military administration. That has since changed, so guests are now welcome. However, as a guest you have to get a starting time by phone in advance. Online reservation is not possible. Then someone answers the phone with whom you coordinate the appropriate start time in the best English. The pro shop that runs it is still looked after by employees of at least American descent. In principle, the Rhein-Main Golf Club uses the space. The homepage provides excellent information about the history. Accordingly, almost all signage is bilingual. When you enter the large clubhouse, you first have to get your bearings. For example, the changing rooms are at the other end from the pro shop, on the upper floor. There is a restaurant with an outdoor terrace, but I didn't use it. The individual tracks have it all. There are some challenges due to many inclines and some doglegs, as well as a few rather small water hazards. In the dry summer months, the balls roll a lot and so a good tee shot is often penalized by the balls rolling into the sinks or even being completely lost in the high rough. Some of the PAR 3 are also challenging and precise shots can't hurt here. If the ball is on the green, which was extremely fast in our game, the challenge is to get the ball into the hole over the undulating waves. Three putts are the rule rather than the exception. The condition was okay for the dry season, even if one or the other green had a few too many bare spots. On the fairways, the grass was brown where there is no watering. There are four tee options at each lane, with the rear men's tees being black and the front white. There are no yellow deductions. For women there is blue (back) and red (front). From some tracks you have a wonderful view of the Rhine-Main plain. On the 9 you should turn around and look behind you. The course also has a few differences in altitude and is slightly to moderately hilly. It's not a "mountain goat" but those who aren't quite as sporty should think about renting a cart. There is also a driving range and short game practice area. The green fee is almost cheap on weekdays at currently €60. At the weekend you pay 75 €. There is no sundowner tariff, but there is also no surcharge if the golden hologram is missing on the DGV pass. The employees in the pro shop were friendly and the players/members were nice and uncomplicated. The game was busy on a sunny Tuesday afternoon and, as already mentioned, you need a start time. Higher HC will have it a little harder here. But if you love challenging parkland courses, this is the place for you.

Beautiful forest place
3.0 of 5 starsReviewed May 28, 2019
The 18 holes are beautifully integrated in the middle of the forest. The golf course is shared with the German club and the army. The clubhouse is functionally built. The restaurant left a lot to be desired.

The Augusta of the Taunus
5.0 of 5 starsReviewed March 5, 2018
Great golfing experience especially during the "open golf week" at the end of July. Special flair through German-American golf atmosphere. Hole 18 offers a touch of Augusta Great parkland design, the greens are usually already in April from April in tournament-ready condition, looking forward to the next round there!

Beautiful fairways, poor care condition
3.0 of 5 starsReviewed January 21, 2018
I played this course in the fall of 2016. Unfortunately, fairways and greens were not in the best condition, which somewhat clouded the fun.
The place GC Rhein-Main shares this place with the US Army, so I was not even allowed to buy a logo ball in the pro shop...
The layout of a beautifully grown parkland course without special highlights or signature holes, which offers some really great views.

The "Rheinblick" keeps its promises, stunning scenery and views. The place is one of the most beautiful in the Rhine-Main area, both in terms of design and maintenance state.
If you like good greens will love the view of the Rhine!
