Characteristics

This course is situated in the beautiful landscape of the Chiemgau directly at the border to Tyrol. The course is characterised by an undulating topography and terrific views of the Chiemgau Alps with the Wilde Kaiser and the Zahme Kaiser. All in all, its a very athletic course demanding a creative as well as strategic approach on the one hand and giving beginners a chance to achieve a few successes.

Simply great!

I really, really liked the course. It is very varied and interesting to play: over two ravines, sometimes up more or less steep mountains, or even into the valley. When you hit the ball, you know why you play golf. :-))).
In addition, there is the unique panorama (including the Wilder Kaiser) along all 18 tracks.
In no way a hotel course, as one review says. I actually walk all the courses, but a cart is recommended here.
If you want to play in the mountains with a magnificent panorama, this is the right place for you.

Fantastically heavy

Care Top 1-
Greens a bit dull Grade 3
View Top 1
Demanding, so middle class players have to play very carefully and defensively.
Drinks service on the round grade 1 (very nice) price-performance top From the 3rd round onwards you should be aware of the dangers and have a lot of fun on the course.
The space is sometimes very narrow.
Bunkers 3-
A good 100m should be able to be played over with stability, otherwise some balls will surely disappear into the ravines.
We are looking forward to the next round.

Panorama great, biotopes flop

We played the course on a sunny June day. The panorama was / is wonderful, the condition of the place is good. Since we took a cart, the hilly terrain and the long distances were not a problem.
As mentioned in many previous reviews, the site is literally littered with biotopes that are not allowed to be entered - if you violate this, you may be expelled (as there are signs on each of these biotopes). Theoretically - biotopes are useful, nice to look at and rarely cause problems for players. Here, however, they become a nuisance in the long run: In hilly terrain with many slopes and sloping fairways, balls naturally roll down the slopes - to be eaten by one of the biotopes here. In addition, the course has a lot of blind holes; if you don't know it, you can only guess and guess where to hit and where the ball will come to rest. On the back nine there is also a ravine that has to be played over twice and requires a long shot, as well as two very long par 5s.
Our conclusion: If you play the course as a guest for the first time, you should do it with a cart, take at least 20 balls with you (better more) and don't expect a good score, but be happy about every successful shot and enjoy the panorama.
