Solid facility with slight drawbacks on the edge of the Ruhr area

The flat 18-hole course with an additional short course south of the Ruhr area can be reached quickly via the A3. It is embedded in nature and partly surrounded by forest. But it is not a typical parkland. There are meaningful tee boxes on every tee and the signage is good. Once you have to walk a bit through the forest to get to the next tee. Most discounts are fairly open. The big challenge is certainly some water hazards, which often come into play in the form of streams, ponds and lakes. High HC should have a few more balls in the bag. Most of the lanes are varied, there are a few doglegs and some well-placed bunkers in addition to the water hazards, but the really big highlights are missing in my view. The condition was generally good, the greens for the season were very good, loyal and quick. Actually, the system is beautifully landscaped, if it weren't for the proximity to the motorway and the corresponding constant noise level. Lanes 13 and 14 almost border the highway. A couple of planes landing in sight in Düsseldorf didn't bother me. You also play past a few ruins and farmsteads, which is very nice again. The members I met greeted warmly. The game operations on a spring sunny Thursday afternoon in December were manageable. In the secretariat I was served friendly as a guest. When I said that I was there for the first time, the lady even came out of her office and explained the way to the first tee. The standard green fee of € 60 on weekdays is certainly appropriate. Unfortunately, the golf sport surcharge for guests without a golden hologram of € 20 is also taken here. Guests who are not accompanied by a member can only play during the week anyway. A criticism of mine, which I also informed the lady after my round, is that I paid € 80, although the place was very wet, which meant that it had to be carried (which was pointed out to me and which was also okay), some bunkers were full of water and two greens were planted as winter greens. Yes it is winter, but then you should also reduce the green fee, otherwise the guests will not come back! At 80 € everything has to be right and in order from my point of view! My criticism was accepted and a credit was offered for my next round. Apparently the lady in the secretariat was not or at least wrongly informed by the greenkeepers! For a star deduction, because that must not happen. Otherwise, I can definitely recommend a round of the course, with small smears described.

Very nice facility

The place is very spacious, flat and in good Condition. The greens were just sanded and therefore not quite perfect. This will certainly be even better as the season progresses. So early in the season, the roughs were still nice and short.
In the office was very friendly and the restaurant offers the ending of the round, a nice terrace with delicious food. A plant which I will visit back for sure.
