Characteristics
The course ranks among the most modern golf courses of Europe. The original Upper Austrian landscape at the south-east slope of the Hausruck-Forest above Haag at the Hausruck was tastefully enriched by an afforestation as well as biotopes and ponds. One of the characteristics is the hole 12 (par 5) which with a length of about 600 m and a width of maximally 30 m also has to be seen internationally as elitist.

After a very friendly reception in the secretariat, we found ourselves at the 1st tee to begin our round.
Even before the first shot, you were already enjoying a special aha experience:
From the tee you looked into the valley, a drive with about 50 meters difference in altitude in front of you - that looked like a lot of fun.
After the first par, 3 opposing lanes followed with quite similar characteristics, which slowed down the initial euphoria a bit. After that, the tracks became more and more varied.
Sometimes you could hit it without danger, but often you had to play with your head, because even short par 4 showed their pitfalls.
The par 3 with up to 200m had to be survived accident-free and the greens demanded a lot of skill.
Conclusion: A very well-kept, tricky but fair course that challenges the sporty player, but is also great for holiday golfers to play.
What also struck us was the extraordinary friendliness of the whole area - a friendly club. 👏🏻👏🏻

The clubhouse is elevated on a mountain. This is where the front and back 9 start. Spectacularly, it starts directly at lane 1. The drive has to be placed from up there on the fairway, which is approx. 40m lower. Down there, on the lower-lying area, the following mostly flat tracks follow.
Everything is very nicely laid out, some with small hedges on the tee boxes, rows of trees separate parallel lanes, ponds, doglegs, strongly undulating greens, etc. come into play in between. The greens are mostly surrounded by bunkers and small hills and are therefore visually very beautiful. The speed of the greens can also be described as very fast.
From lane 7 it goes back up the "mountain" in the direction of the clubhouse. A highlight awaits you here:
The very steep ascent is managed in an energy-saving manner using a "magic carpet" - a conveyor belt transports players and trolley together up to the tee of hole 8.
The Back 9 start right next to the clubhouse. A half-blind drive is required here. The following tracks run up to track 17 on the lower halfway flat area. Interesting layouts await you here, with beautifully designed ponds and water obstacles.
The current condition is very good. Together with the very fast greens, this maximizes the enjoyment of playing this very beautiful golf course.
From the terrace of the restaurant you have a beautiful view of hole 9 and in particular the green of hole 18, optically very nicely laid out, including a brick pond and a large bunker in between. The restaurant offers constantly changing fresh dishes, which are presented on three slates. Definitely recommended for taste!
