The Golfclub Lipperswil is a famililar 4* superior 27-hole golf course in the middle of the canton of Thurgau, with a beautiful clubhouse and fantastic views of the mountains. Of course, guests are always welcome and the entire team around Alexandra Sola and Christopher Schmidt is looking forward to welcoming you to the Seerücken with the most beautiful view.
In the restaurant, you can indulge in culinary delights of the highest standard from our friendly staff, who are always on hand to help. We will be happy to reserve a table for you in the modern, bright yet cozy TWENTY7 restaurant or on the large sun terrace with a view over the golf course to the mountains. Expensive premiere day

It was a premiere day. My premiere day.
My first solo round of golf (9 holes). The weather was perfect! Morning vibes: brilliant. The 9-hole course that day was "Schwarzebach."
I know that there are rounds of golf for less money, there are also rounds of golf for more money, BUT: The fact that the motorway that runs directly next to the golf course thunders along, the amusement park has to entertain its visitors, and the 80 km/h expressway that runs between the course is thus the little sister of the highway opposite, makes paying not a matter of "I would like to", but of "I should".
Anyway, when the EC machine beeps and says: CHF 110 (guest price for 9 holes). There was an additional CHF 15 discount because the greens had been aerated beforehand. The sandy mud (damp overnight) and the impossible putting (especially as a beginner, the knee-bending "reading" moments of the putt are of no use under the discounted conditions) would have been worth a more discount: Item. I knew what I was getting into (price-wise, geographically). The hobby friends I met: More to themselves. More elitist. More non-greeting. More "oh, you're a guest."

The reception in the clubhouse was very friendly. The course makes a good visual impression. The tee boxes and fairways are great, although the fairways are cut rather long. The greens are very blunt and therefore slow and endless. A mushroom (?) is still visible.
The design of the 3x9 holes could be more exciting. I found "Feldgarten" the most interesting. On many holes you have a wide fairway in front of you and can tee off as you please. If you have a decent length, you rarely need the driver.
As hotel guests we had special conditions. As a guest I would find the reasonable price for a round excessive.
One more comment on the “noise” from the motorway and “Connyland”: This background noise does exist, yes. But I prefer it to the chatter of neighboring flights.

Beautifully embedded place in the landscape. Varied obstacles such as water, bunkers and wonderful flower meadows. From some holes you have a wonderful view of the Alps.
Restaurant with a great, covered, spacious terrace (probably the largest in Switzerland).
Practice facility with driving range, short playground and putting green. Hotel with spa area is located directly at the 27 hole course.
The only negative point is the part of Schwarzenbach, which lies between the motorway and an amusement park, so there is a certain amount of noise at certain times, but it is still tolerable.
