Pleasant surprise

When one of my playing partners suggested that we play golf in Lilienthal, I thought to myself... how did he come up with that idea? There are better courses around Bremen.
After the round, I had to revise my opinion. We had an incredible amount of fun. The course is varied and in very good condition; the greens were top-notch, and the bunkers were filled with plenty of sand.
The lady in our office had a very good day; we felt extremely well treated and welcome.
We'd love to play here again, perhaps a little more defensively, as the course does have some challenges, especially hitting the fairways.

Really cheap green fee

Money was invested, the course was expanded and remodeled. Some things have also been improved, for example, the paths between the tracks, even though they are exceptionally long.

The lady at reception wasn't having the best day, which is why our friends didn't get a great welcome. If you want to know where the fairway is when teeing off on the new holes, you've come to the wrong place. Okay, we're used to that from links courses in Scotland and Ireland, but in Lilienthal the grass on some of the fairways was so long that you couldn't see the ball. Pin positions on the greens are unfortunately not displayed either. The greens were interesting and in good condition. Some of them don't have run-off areas, though. If you miss these greens by a meter or two, the ball bounces straight out of bounds. Overall, the back nine was in much better condition.

Conclusion: if you're already in the area, there are half a dozen golf courses within a 20 km radius where you'll get more fun for your money.

My home and therefore my club

We've experienced many positive things over the past few years. The course has matured and presents itself more and more professionally with each passing year. An exemplary wayfinding system guarantees guests relaxed navigation and a sense of well-being on their round.
Close to the city yet surrounded by nature, Lilienthal Golf Club is a fine destination for golfers who don't want to spend their free time driving to the course, but rather enjoying a fun round. So treat yourself to 18 holes on this exceptionally beautiful course, and after your round, enjoy a relaxing time on the terrace right next to the uniquely beautiful clubhouse, with fine dining and excellent service!
