Characteristics

The golf course Lenzerheide, opened in 1951, is one of Europe's most beautiful alpine Golf courses. Embedded by lovely, calm nature the 18-hole golf course (par 69) is situated on an altitude of 1.400 metres above sea level and surrounded by the fantastic scenery of the mountains and by spruce and pine wood.

The golf club Lenzerheide counts with about 800 members. Many of them comes from the area of Zürich and own a secondary residence in Lenzerheide, which accessible is less than 90 minutes. In the peak time in July / August the course has the highest use to capacity. Tee times should be booked in advance during the entire season.

The homelike clubhouse and the cosy sun terrace lie far from any fuss.

I can not fully recommend

The previous good reviews I can not always understand. Of course, the view is beautiful, how could it be otherwise in the Alps. But the so often addressed care condition was not noticeable with us. No clean transition from the fairway to the first cut, greens sometimes not spur-faithful; Something I would expect at a self as a top club indicative golf course. I did not like the "trappings" either; Members who do not greet and eye green fee players arrogantly, long waiting times in the hole 19, must not be.
As noted at the beginning, I can not fully understand the previous positive ones.

Golf Idyll in the mountains

I can only confirm the previous great reviews. Played today in magnificent autumn weather. Tees and fairways in top condition. Greens, too. However, they are so hard or fast and often by a board or similar. protected, that they have to be played extremely well (= high). The moderate inclines of the fairways also lead to the ball often rolls to the edge after landing - or beyond. The course, which in itself is often narrow, is felt to be even closer. Or just more challenging. So there is a lot to discuss after the round on the beautiful sun terrace. It is worth it!

Great place in wooded and hilly landscape

Very demanding, partly very narrow course, for beginner and HC over 36 hardly to master.
Great halfway-house (10 minutes break at white-covered tables). good fairways, greens only acceptable (a bit bumpy - but hot summer, zero precipitation). top restaurant on 19.
Again any time.
