Characteristics
The golf course Lenzerheide, opened in 1951, is one of Europe's most beautiful alpine Golf courses. Embedded by lovely, calm nature the 18-hole golf course (par 69) is situated on an altitude of 1.400 metres above sea level and surrounded by the fantastic scenery of the mountains and by spruce and pine wood.
The golf club Lenzerheide counts with about 800 members. Many of them comes from the area of Zürich and own a secondary residence in Lenzerheide, which accessible is less than 90 minutes. In the peak time in July / August the course has the highest use to capacity. Tee times should be booked in advance during the entire season.
The homelike clubhouse and the cosy sun terrace lie far from any fuss.

We are not that generous, because it is an alpine golf course that has a decent layout, but is playful - playing golf on foot is good - not that demanding. Basically it is a pure iron place, you can leave the wood in the car. There are three holes on which you can play a 3 wood.
We have known this course since 1993, when we played a round for the first time. In the meantime, several have joined us during our Graubünden golf tours.
The location in the hilly forest is great, even if individual holes are badly exposed to traffic noise.
We particularly like this place in autumn, the play of light and colors can be seen, today it was still too green.
It is a short, less than 300 meters in section, the holes, but narrow. The ground is often dry and hard, causing spontaneously bouncing balls that can land in awkward positions.
The greens are usually good to play, not all of them had the same speed.
It is a place with partly very rustic vegetation, so is the maintenance.
In the spring it takes until the ground is in good shape, the shadow areas need time. We do not know whether the cattle will still have right of way in this place in the spring.
Very nice staff and a clubhouse with very good cuisine.
Five stars are like a sympathy rating for us, too much for us.

With the most beautiful weather and extremely pleasant temperatures, a dream day caught with gigantic looks. the course is not too long, the seven par 3 holes unusual, but all varied and tricky.
The condition and the greens were without complaint.
As an "encore" we received a very nice club member (handicap 6) as a living birdie book. was fun!
Particularly noteworthy is the wonderful clubhouse - the food was so good that we reserved a table again the next evening. rightly!
