Situated not far from the Gut Lohne, this golf course is set up on level terrain and framed by an old deciduous forest. The fairways mainly have a high yardage and are surrounded by dense, natural roughs. The course presents its greatest challenges on the first few holes. The par 3 holes, in particular, are demanding. On the 3rd hole, you need to be able to accurately place your tee shot at 170 meters; otherwise, you'll either be (too short) in one of the two bunkers or (too long) out of bounds, as there's very little space behind the small green.
Otherwise, the par 3 holes are either long (hole 13 at 190 m) or very well guarded by bunkers (17).
There are some challenging par 4 holes of almost 400m, so you really need to place a good drive.
The par5 holes are a good length at 500m, but otherwise present no particular difficulties.
However, if you have good drives and transport shots, the course is not very challenging.
The bunkers are particularly noteworthy in terms of sand. They have a nice, grainy sand texture, neither too much nor too little. They are really good to play in.
However, the bunker edges are not particularly well maintained and are usually quite frayed.
