Characteristics
The Hauptsmoorwald Golf Club is situated close to the historic city centre of Bamberg. Beyond the eastern boundary of the city the course reaches into the forest. The relatively short holes are sufficiently demanding for the more experienced, but not overwhelming for novices. Narrow fairways surrounded by woods and small greens protected by bunkers require care and concentration.

I played the course on my own earlier this month.
Thanks to membership in "My Golf Club" for "lukewarm"
The FW and the greens are in good condition.
One or the other hole needs to be played first, so you have to aim fairly precisely to reach the GIR with the 2nd at par 4 or the 3rd at par 5.
However, I was annoyed on the first 5 lanes due to the motorway passing right by the square. This has nothing to do with playing golf calmly and is very annoying.
In order to linger a little longer after golfing, you are wrongly advised at this club - arrive, play and drive again is the motto.
The staff are all very friendly.
For me personally, a course that I would not play a second time.

The fairways are sufficient to good and are very well maintained.
Unfortunately, the lack of irrigation does not make it easy for the greenkeepers.
The greens are superb, very quick and difficult to read. It is advisable to play them high.
The whole place including the practice area looks very neat as does the secretariat, toilet, showers and outdoor seating area. The lack of gastronomy, the number 1 problem child at most golf clubs due to the lack of rent for the operators, hardly bothered anyone. Various drinks are available from the secretariat.
The whole atmosphere here is cozy, relaxing and there is a friendly, pleasant atmosphere among the club team and the players and guests.
