Beautiful resort in the Berchtesgaden region

We played the hilly course in mid-September 2026 in summery temperatures. The course's condition has already been extensively reported elsewhere, including the club's comments on the issue of drought. Ultimately, the heat waves of recent years have presented many clubs – many of which lack irrigation systems – with enormous challenges.
We enjoyed the varied course, especially on the back nine. In some places – such as the 12th hole – we felt the number of water hazards was a bit excessive; overall, the layout is fair. The rough looks relatively harmless from the tee; however, the chances of finding a lost ball there are rather slim. There are a few blind tee shots, but these aren't really problematic due to the fairway width.
Members and staff were very friendly. A pleasant, sporty atmosphere.
Despite the aforementioned problems regarding the condition of the course, we found it to be very playable and can recommend a visit.

The dry summer is certainly causing difficulties for many golf courses in terms of irrigation.
This otherwise very beautiful golf course with excellent fast greens was, however, in a terrible state of maintenance:
On the front nine, it was difficult to even find the fairway because it was completely dried out and the grass was left so high that it was like playing a semi-rough if you ever managed to find a tuft of grass.
The Back Nine were not quite as dried out, probably due to the peaty soil, but at least they had been mowed a little further down.
Many of the tee shots were like camel humps.
It's clear that you can't mow the fairway as low as usual in this dry weather, but this was simply too high.
Actually, the secretary should have offered us a discounted welcome fee, given the condition of the building.

Beautiful varied course

A very beautiful course awaited us here. The front 9 were in very good condition. The fairways were mown short and the greens were fast. The back 9 were in relatively good condition due to the heavy rain of the last few days. The course offers a lot of variety. The greens are very well defended by bunkers or water hazards.
We received a very friendly welcome in the office. The restaurant is also worth recommending. At the end we had an apple strudel with a birdie shot.
The only thing that is confusing is the sign for the 8th tee. This points towards the forest. So we had to look for a bit to find out where we should go.
