A challenge in pleasant rolling countryside

I played the B and C course after booking at short notice on a wonderful summer day. Got paired up with a local member. Lovely golf course. Some really tricky holes demanding a fair bit of course management. The birdie card was a big help as was the GPS watch from my playing partner. Definitely worth going back. Food fine. Terrace splendid. Friendly staff.

Dogs not allowed

Hello, I don't usually write reviews at all, as it's all rather subjective. In this case, however, I would like to let my displeasure run free. Dogs are not allowed! You can do that, but I don't understand why members can bring their dogs with them, but guests can't. Firstly, guests, like members, are sensitive to dog contamination and you can rest assured that whether a member or a guest, we have the same standards and clean up the mess. I find it a pity!! By the way, you can't find this information on the website!

Nice, personable facility

All in all, the system in Rottbach is a well-rounded affair!

Well-tended 3x9 holes, which do not provide too easy a change, plus good practice opportunities and a well-tended gastronomy.

Two smaller downers are the often badly "plucked" 3-hole course and the unattractive member models.

In addition to full membership, which is very sporty for the west of Munich, there are small discounts for the less attractive weekday membership; 9-hole membership for beginners only.

Unfortunately, it only gets a little cheaper if you commit to 5 years - a shame!

Gastronomy

A really well maintained golf course in a beautiful landscape. Unfortunately, the day was literally spoiled by an inedible dinner. Upon our complaint, we were instructed by an outrageous and downright aggressive cook. He thinks the dish is hearty but by no means too salty. What a shame about the beautiful day.

Good place, played top round

We were there in early August. The facility was well attended. During the round we had to wait one or the other time because the 4-man flight in front of us was often looking for balls extensively.
Fortunately, after the import, I asked the secretariat which seats we would play, as there is a division into A, B, C. There is no green fee card for the bag or printed score cards. And right, we played B + C. I would have gone to tee 1 from A as a matter of course.
There is still room for improvement in management.
Our B + C combination had some very nice holes, otherwise not particularly difficult. I liked it, I hadn't played 5 pars and 1 birdie before.

Dear UKE,

Thank you very much for your visit and the detailed feedback!

For environmental reasons, we haven't had bag tags for several years now, instead of a lot of paper on the bag, our marshalls keep an eye on the start times via iPad.
On the other hand, printed score cards are of course very present in the clubhouse. Our daily course combinations for 9 and 18 holes are also posted everywhere - we're sorry if you weren't asked about them at the counter!

We look forward to welcoming you again and staying with us
with sporty greetings

Beautiful Round

We visited the Rottbach golf course on July 8th, 2020 to play an 18 hole round there, already booking the tee time was very positive and the employee on the phone was very friendly and helpful. Upon arrival, we could also find that the facility was very busy that day, but there is enough parking space available so there is no problem.
The reception by the staff was very friendly and competent, after we had completed the formalities, it went round, we played the course B and C that day.
Course A is hilly and has some biotopes and water hazards, but is easy to play, while course C, on the other hand, is dominated by water hazards and high reeds.
Both courses were very well maintained, the fairways were mowed very short on both courses and the greens too, most of the greens are partly hanging and wavy, so that it can easily happen that the ball rolls on as it should.
We didn't visit the restaurant due to time constraints, so I can't give a rating here.
Conclusion, we will definitely play here more often and I can only recommend the system from my point of view.

Nice place with friendly people

The course is idyllically situated in a rural hilly area, which always allows beautiful views.

The tracks are well-kept and not too difficult to play, but water hazards and bunkers keep changing. But actually 4 stars in the sense of "perfectly fine".

I give it the 5th star because, on the one hand, the tone is very friendly - you greet each other on and off the square - and on the other hand, the gastro here deserves its name: friendly service and good food quality, which does not have the alibi character of many club restos.

Nice golf course

Played the course in post-Corona times. It nestles in waves in the hilly landscape, has well-maintained fairways and large greens, which are a bit bumpy. The lanes are very wide and spacious, playing is great fun.
Real highlights are missing, but you don't play a top world course for this price either.
A nice day of golf on a beautiful average golf course, where everything fits except the service of the gastro.
With 4 guests in the restaurant, the 2 waitresses are a little overwhelmed to check in new guests corona-like and to allow access to the terrace - although according to the notice board they are happy to welcome guests on the terrace again. Obviously at least 1 lady didn't feel like it.
We then left our money somewhere else. Too bad.

Relaxed round of golf

Rottbach is one of the few places in the Munich area that can (mostly) be played on summer greens in winter. I played the combination A / C twice in February and each had very pleasant rounds of golf. The course is beautifully laid out, the fairways are attractive, but not extremely difficult and usually very forgiving. The par 3 holes are comparatively short and therefore easy to master.
The condition was astonishingly good for February, but I cannot give a real judgment about the maintenance condition or quality of fairways and greens.

I had my fun and would like to do Rottbach in the summer :-)

Beautiful nature and tranquility

This is supposed to be a golf course.
Nestled in beautiful nature, many and partly shady parking, quiet (except for a few planes now and then), long and well-maintained trains, grass discounts, very friendly staff and a modern restaurant with good kitchen and views.

Price wise, he is also completely fine: there are various offers, including the 9-hole round costs at the weekend from 16 clock only € 32, - plus 26 Rangeballs for € 2, -.
Unfortunately, when I came, all baskets were out of stock.

The course is divided into three times nine holes (places A / B / C), which are recorded or combined differently depending on the day of the week. So you can go three times without always playing the same place.

I was on C: it is slightly hilly, offers a few water hazards and bunkers, little shade and at least three benches.
And a lot of flora and fauna: I have seen or heard rabbits, geese, ducks and frogs. Pure idyll!

Surprisingly attractive place

I played the 9C. I did not bathe balls but if you are aggressive you are close to the water and possibly in the many beautifully placed bunker. Greens flat is not playing. With shorter discounts this is also for beginners a very nice place to play with wide fairways whereby the times to the hairdresser would have. Even with the driver just carry, little roll.
Good is that there is little (white) where the Roughballs does not show even if one is beside it.
Greens, fairways and tees had clear grass gaps. For that I deducted a star. Otherwise a good golf course, with lively activity. Recommended.

I love this place!

I really like to play Rottbach, even though I now have quite a long journey. But the courts have held something of everything. Tip: on the C really pack a lot of balls. Here are the water hazards mercilessly. The practice area is fine, not very big but really sufficient and there is also a three-hole course, which you can sometimes play with a complete golf novice.
The drink on the terrace afterwards and remains priceless.

Varied

I just played the tracks B + A. The course is in good condition. The holes are varied and have their charm. Luckily I had a flight partner who has given me the 9th hole on A advice, otherwise I would have found on the wrong fairway...

The lady at the front desk was very accommodating and it was fun. Price / performance ratio is great!!

For years steady downward trend

I myself was several years a member of this golf club. I regret to say that the place over the last years has significantly deteriorated. Although the extension by a further 9 holes to 27, can certainly be described as successful.

The fairways are more like sprawling meadows. The greens well...

Feels like the place is rather degenerated into a cash cow than a manicured golf place. Golfer through here, skimp on care.

Was the last time with a business partner from Frankfurt since. Have I apologized to him for the condition of the course. Will not soon come again... Sorry...

Dear Evaluator, Dear Reviewer,

With amazement I read your review. When were you on our golf course? If this was last year, I can quite understand your criticism. In the current season both our members, guests and we are very pleased with the location status. We have invested in last fall in a fairway irrigation on all tracks and have since the beginning of a completely new machine fleet. We would appreciate if you still visit us once again and would convince even the very good location status.
Best regards

Positive Surprise

On Friday we were spontaneously (even the first plus point: Where in the short term, you get a few kilometers from the city limits, with perfect weather, a desired start time for 45 € Green fee ?!) on the proposed combination B / C.

After the friendly welcome at reception we found a very neat, fairly challenging golf course. The layout is exciting and always surprising, constantly are bunkers, trenches and water obstacles in the game that make an intelligent course management necessary. All in all, the course but playable and low scores are possible if one makes a place with brain and Touch

Goes... the better!

Was in the GA Rottbach recently at an invitational tournament!

Reception / Secretarial / friendliness: Smooth 1
Exercise equipment: Ok - so 2-3.
Restaurant / Service: 2
Place: ... since at fängts! For me as a teacher ne barely sufficient 4 If there is no irrigation or why was a big part of the fairways without grass and brown... it has always rained again extensively in the days / weeks before?? Semi Rough far too high - our flight was not found 2 balls that are proven landed in the semi! Does not go!! Whole Mähzustand was rather "well". Greens: Nothing to say - tricky and faithful! But you should come up with something, because overall makes the place not particularly neat impression ... (there should be an operating company would not surprise me.. already had some experience sorry for maybe this generalization, but have since ...)

Scenic, varied 3 x 9 holes - space

Due to the different combination of 3 x 9 holes - tracks are varied 18 hole combinations result. Well-kept and challenging course. Also the 3 hole practice course with about 500 meters a nice challange for beginners or for importing. Large driving range with mats and grass tees almost always available. Cheap after - work - tariffs. Reception friendly and nice players what you want.

Panoramic view wonderful, challenging gameplay organization in transition

The plant has wide fairways - but Attention, the obstacles are tricky, the place is not for nothing is considered very demanding. Due to the lack of trees gehnd far the place is quite windy and quite hot in summer. The rest do Wasserhindnisse and roughs. In case of rain, the C-space is often limited playable / locked. Early Booking of start times (6 days) is now strongly recommended. Is especially annoying that mowing the lawn is often a huge obstacle for the game, since it is taken regardless of golfers only reluctantly.
The sale of Anlgage and related Umorga still sometimes lead to problems in the organization / service.
The highlight is the rest of the round on one of the most beautiful terraces with a view of the foothills madness - Fengschui finest.
The restaurant is often too expensive for the quality delivered. Due to the long waiting times in service man should bring along enough time. The maintenance of

Sophisticated & beautifully located

Discerning hilly course with different challenges.
Neupieler sure to Birdie Book to assess barriers and distances.
The new C course fits very nicely into the landscape and is very athletic with many water hazards.
