Played on September 16,2020. The flat 9-hole course (PAR 29) is connected to the hotel resort of the same name with a spa area. The facility is located in absolute tranquility and nature in a wooded area between Haltern am See and the town of Datteln. Relatively quickly accessible via the A43 / A2. Directly behind the hotel and next to the golf course there is an allotment garden, where the somewhat hidden access to the golf course and the small driving range, past the depot, are located. The course is more suitable for beginners or the quick lap in between. Even if there is an interesting water hazard at lanes 8 and 9 and a real dogleg at lane 5, most PAR 3 lanes are quite straightforward. Bunkers are the exception. However, the very small and raised greens where you can hardly stop the ball and then often roll back down are challenging. You should always play strategically, rather leave the driver in the car or hotel, as the respective exclusions are mostly very close due to the golf course limits. The maintenance condition was okay, although no noble meadow is to be expected. The manageable green fee either for 9 holes 20/24 € or the daily green fee of currently 36/42 € is paid at the hotel reception. You don't need any start times. During my game, the game was very manageable and I was able to start playing immediately without prior notice. So I would rather not recommend going there for a full round of golf, but anyone who is nearby anyway and wants to practice the short game is in good hands here.

My wife and I play for 4 years on this place as a hotel guest. I have a HCP of 18 and my wife a HCP 28. We helped to achieve this golf course on difficult places also, for us, good result. We are both over 60 years and have begun here 4 years ago. Our HCP we have earned in other places.
