Characteristics
The golf course, only 10 km away from Regensburg, is located on a 100 hectares large site which has a long historical tradition. The 2nd part of the course is situated in the Danube valley and is lined from both sides with the Jura inclinations. The fairways nestle along the Danube valley. Hole 1 to 9 are different, because here golfers have to cope with some altitude differences which offer beautiful views.

I had my Yacht there for 1 year. The owner is unfriendly and unpredictable. The Golf course doesn't work well with the boat owners and there is no boat service. Better go a step further south and visit Marina Saal or Yachthafen Donautal

Rarely have I played a golf course with two such different faces:
The first nine holes are hilly (hole 3 is extreme, the rest are OK) and the second nine holes are completely flat right next to the Danube. The course is very fairly mown and has many beautiful holes. Hole 8 (par 4) is spectacular, where almost the entire difference in altitude of the first 9 holes is played down in one go with a view of the Danube.
The clubhouse is beautiful and the office is very friendly. The only negative thing I noticed was the relatively poor greens, which were very long and shaggy (despite the tournament). This also affects the price-performance ratio.

Excellent food thanks to the new tenant and chef of the restaurant, really worth a visit.
Now to the square, with a fantastic view of the Danube Valley, the square is very nicely located away from all the hustle and bustle. The holes offer everything your heart desires, in sum I would classify the course as not difficult to play.
If you are waiting for a tee time on the 18-hole course, you can also play the short 9-hole course (takes about an hour)
