Characteristics
The Schmitzhof is an agricultural estate whose existence was first documented in the mid-19th century. The chestnut tree, which was already part of the estate at the time, is an estimated 230 years old and was incorporated as a landmark into the club's crest. The Schmitzhof Golf and Country Club eV, with its park-like grounds and many water hazards, is a course that can be experienced anew every day. Thanks to its good soil conditions, it is always playable in dry years, as well as in this wet spring. And it is also an experience in winter, thanks to the excellent winter greens.
