Great facility, tree garden ok

The facility itself with the generous access and the modern clubhouse comes close to big places. Something is still missing in terms of ambience, but it is still a successful place.
The front desk staff were great - helpful, friendly and easy going.
Restaurant food was ok to good with typical club golf prices.
Now to the place (Tree Garden):
Wide fairways and still do not make the good quality course particularly difficult - and not particularly interesting. And especially in summer you can reach lengths that you would otherwise hardly dream of. The greens bit very well and were very directional - a pleasure. The overall length is rather short. I, handicap 9 and not the big long hitter, played from white (star) and was practically always in regulation on the green. Exactly, summer golf. The lettering has been criticized several times - rightly so in my opinion. On the other hand, you get a stroke saver for free, in which you can read everything wonderfully. Better labeling would be desirable, yes. But with open eyes you can see at the latest on the sign on the tea box whether you are correct or not ;-)
Carry, trolley or buggy? Carrying for the sporty, buggy for the “unsporty” and trolley for everyone else. It has a few height differences...

June 5,2023, Fruit Garden Our first visit to Saint Apollinaire was probably our last. For the steep green fee of €150 you can expect a lot more. Almost all holes rise or fall sharply, and too many holes are blind. The otherwise usual orientation boards are missing at the tees. The way to the next tee is badly marked several times and often too long.
In short: all 4 of us were disappointed. Unfortunately, our expectations of the highly acclaimed course were not met.
