This course will test you if the weather is kind you will take pictures, Booked it through Hotel Don Paco yes e12 for mid week am tee. The greens are superb no ball eating rough, it is an excellent design and layout with views like Kouri Cliffs NZ at a 1/40 of the price. Forget those over manicured golf courses in the South surrounded by I’ve got one better than your Villa along every fairway, this has mountains falling into the ocean, it’s natural it has shape.
If you have to play it twice a week you will become a very good player but some may give up altogether. It’s a Must.

Played course beginning October, although put holes and sand on green they ran well, quite a testing course for the high handicapper as our group is but its worth playing just for the fantastic scenery of llanes and sea one side and picos mountains on other.

I played Golf Municipal de Llanes for the first time today. It had rained all day and had obviously been very damp for the past few weeks. Therefore, the course wasn't in ideal condition, and play was only possible from the blue tees (ladies' red tees).
Unfortunately, the information about the course in the description above seems to be completely inaccurate. According to the club, the holes are significantly longer and more difficult. However, the course is still fair, at least as long as the fairways are soft. What it's like when the ground is hard...?
I had very little wind, which was also a big factor. So I had a good round. There are relatively few blind shots, and it's absolutely amazing how they managed to build 18 holes on a ridge, with fabulous views and relatively few slopes. At €28 green fees (for one person; for two people it would be €25 per person, €5 more on weekends, and €15 per person on Wednesdays), the prices are ridiculously low. Of course, it's not as polished as, say, Meaztegi. But there you pay more than twice as much.
Anyone who can should play here. I was able to communicate at reception even without speaking Spanish. However, I didn't try the restaurant.
