So bad Condition

I played last September my first round in Kyburg. I paid 180 chf greenfee and really bad condition. Horrible greens, tees and fairways... I hope next year better...

Challenging place in city proximity

The place is not easy to play. For the first time, the first nine holes are sometimes very narrow and hard to judge by their partly strong Hanglangen. To roll balls supposedly well placed are usually in the side rough. The second nine are then more pleasant to play, but unfortunately then the nearby highway is easy to hear.

Bad tournament organization

Have played one of these Monday "Golf & Go" tournaments.
Play 18 holes, a beer and then back home, a good concept, but with CHF 155 rather expensive (for a Monday).
The tournament was small (17 participants), and the place was almost empty, because you should actually not play anyway at these high temperatures.
Nevertheless, the last 2 groups were played as a four, with only 8 minutes starting interval!
When the group in front of us wanted to play their approach on the first green, the Greenkeepers came and sprayed some foul-smelling liquid on the green.
The starter then intervened and made great efforts to ensure that they did not bother us afterwards. But apparently they were also at the same time mowing the fairways 2 and 3 in the middle of the tournament. These then remained unfinished, and cut and uncut strips alternated.
The greens were good, and the fairways were still green thanks to working irrigation, unlike many other places in this extreme summer.
The intermediate catering was as usual very solid in Kyburg, with a set table and waitresses. If you wanted to take a water in the heat with the second 9, that would have cost extra.
I actually like playing the course, but the thoughtlessness of the tournament management and the recklessness of the greenkeepers have spoiled my fun.

Exciting design on the highway

Playful even more varied than the two Sempachersee courses, but just: the highway provides a permanent noise. Pity! The clubhouse is okay, the restaurant was empty after the round (despite the cozy garden). The landscape is actually beautiful (many trees) and the course has many really demanding and remarkable holes. Is always worth a trip, despite...

Saturday morning, not yet as it should be

I have not played the place for several years; the condition of the course is basically good and the layout also exciting; on Saturday - morning but were at 08.00 / 08.30 the greens of the first about 5 holes not mowed and not deducted. Thus putting does not make pleasure, the ball rolls uncontrollably on the dewy greens. Too bad that the last holes are marked by the noise of the highway. The restaurant is great, also the service. The toilet cubicles between hole 9/10 had probably not been cleaned this morning. Apparently, the workforce is kept low at the weekend.

Great place, great greens

For the first time I played the course at a tournament. For in Zurich the 6-penny and thus a holiday was it had little participants. The course was in good condition, especially the greens were in a super maintained, incredibly fast and challenging. Only the fairways could have been mowed a little shorter, but I have rarely met anyway. Otherwise everything was great. Fine snack in the halfway house, nice staff and reasonable price.
I'll be back.

Challenge on the highway...

The whole place is very well maintained and for good golfers a pleasure.
The whole thing is a bit difficult. Very expensive GF and you can hear the nearby highway really from every hole.

A day full of wonder

Was a member there and was amazed first time that I got no GF-reduction although the greens were punched. I also was not predicted on the phone. The course is challenging and the Star holes getting used to. Infrastructure is great, I just wonder for whom? Although it was Sunday, we have utterly alone eaten in the restaurant, all members immediately went after the round home or wherever else. The food was good but, as a couple in a somewhat empty space but it seemed a bit lost.

Much cheaper golfer-CH Thank you for visiting Golf Kyburg and your feedback.
We are pleased that the quality of our plants - enthusiastic - especially the infrastructure and gastronomy.
Golf Kyburg sees itself primarily as a Member Club and aims accordingly not too high frequencies from visitors. Of course, you are welcome as a guest anyway at any time on our systems. Our restaurant La Gloria is usually well attended. Without concrete information on the date and time of your visit, it is difficult for us to understand the situation.
We look forward to welcoming you next time on Golf Kyburg to convince you again of the high quality of our facilities and a well-frequented restaurant can.
Best regards
Daniel Weber, Golf Kyburg

Challenging but fair course

The place is quite challenging, especially if the grass is not mowed. Interesting fairways with some inclinations, well placed bunkers and moving terrain. Friendly welcome, great bathroom facilities and good, not very cheap restaurant. The highway noise is particularly disturbing in two or three holes on the back nine. Flight fans after noon because of the blasting machine of Kloten at their expense.
