Golf course at Otočec is only 5 km away from Novo Mesto. The golf course is next to the Krka River, near to the famous Otočec castle and the Struga Castle.
Golf course arises on the slightly hilly terrain in the forest and it is build according to the newest standards for golf courses. The18-hole course is stretched over 75 hectares. The game, for every individual hole, can be started at one of the five bounce points, which makes the course attractive for professionals as well ass amateurs. On the clear grounds there are lots of risings and dales; because of the agitation of the golf course, it offers the players wonderful views on the clear grounds, surrounded by trees and lakes.

Very beautiful place in a hilly landscape

If you love hilly courses, then this is the place for you. Yes, Otocec doesn't have the design and maintenance of Royal Bled, but the beautiful and varied fairways in the beautiful weather simply thrilled us. The course was very well maintained, the fairways were in good condition, the bunkers were filled with soft sand, and the greens were very good. Fast and true to the line—what more could you want?
Right from the first hole, you're already in the mood for the hilly course, as it climbs steeply after the tee shot. But don't worry, my wife carried the bag and made it through without any problems.
You shouldn't expect the best score in the first round, as knowledge of the course is required.
The secretariat is very nice, and the small but nice and relatively new club building is also great.

The course is in a beautiful setting and it is really challenging! You do not have to be a competitive athlete without a cart, even if it always goes up and down. However, this "mountain rating" after a few holes is also boring. Due to the hot summer and obviously heavy rain before our visit, the condition was unfortunately catastrophic. Even the makeshift "club house" is not very inviting! Actually, a round on this course was enough for our golfing life!
