On most of the holes, you have no idea where to play or where the green is, and even if you manage to do it fairly well, you're often penalized because the slopes, inclines, and inclines on every hole make the ball's path a game of chance. Strategic play is impossible for the player. In addition, the paths are dangerous if you use a go-kart and certainly very dangerous when wet (dew!).
Of course—and now we come to the positives—you are rewarded: magnificent natural surroundings, perfectly manicured greens on the course, and—even more so—incredibly friendly, welcoming hosts in the reception and club lounge. We played 9 holes today. It was a fantastic experience for me (handicap 46.3). I was able to apply everything my pro taught me. It was so much fun, and with two ball losses, I was doing well. My husband (handicap 26.3) mastered the challenge brilliantly, and we will definitely play all 18 holes next week. The course is incredibly well-maintained and lovingly designed. We say thank you. It is pure nature, and we were lucky enough to encounter a deer on hole 8. I haven't had so much joy and fun on a spontaneous evening round of golf in a long time.

I have been playing the course for decades. I am impressed by the location, romantic but also bold. A challenge in every respect but popular with those who love variety and who find greens that resemble motorways boring in the long run.
But it's only 15 minutes from the motorway exit in Zöbern. The last few metres are a bit of a stretch, but you're rewarded with beautiful scenery and a game reserve with a castle.
It is indeed a place of power, full of peace and scenic beauty. A golf atmosphere that may remind you a little of Radstadt, Braz or Achensee.
If you are not good on foot, you can drive, but be careful, the terrain is difficult. Golfing here is a bit of an adventure holiday and as well as "vor" you call out "Sepp", that is the mountain spirit. If you are lucky, he will throw the ball back if it hits one of the many trees. The course is in the middle of the forest.
At the last tournament, my flight partner hit the ball against the tree on hole 13, Sepp read the ball back and it landed 20 cm from the hole. That's how it works!
