Lovely situation, but a bit if a disappointment

The situation was lovely, but the course was in very poor condition due to bad maintenance. The greens were almost unputtable with a lot of damage or disease. The fairways had not been properly cut and one would not expect daisies on the fairway on a course trying to position itself as a premium course. There was nowhere for visitors to change, and the only available WC was in the bar which necessitated removal of golf shoes. It has the potential to be a super golf experience, after real attention to the needs of golfers, on and off the course.

Light and Shadow

The place is beautifully situated in the countryside. The old building and the new hotel convey hospitable charm.
The first nine holes appear more coherent and interesting than the back nine. The course is fair overall, easy to play and varied. The water is present, but affects the game very little. The condition of the fairways is negative with many bare spots. In contrast, the greens. Fast and true to the line.
The staff throughout the facility is extremely friendly.
The bistro has a nice menu, but is only open until 4 p.m.
The restaurant in the hotel offers a set menu in the evenings. This is excellent, but unfortunately there is no alternative and there are hardly any options in the area.
The most beautiful part of the complex is the SPA. We have rarely seen such a beautiful bathing and sauna area. It's a pity that with the relatively high hotel costs extra fees apply.
Overall, a coherent system, but very expensive in the overall context.

Golf fun de luxe

First of all, it's quiet without cars and it's wonderfully located around a manor house. The order of the holes has been changed. First you play 9 holes through a park. The second 9 are open and seem very British. The greens were quick and faithful. The bunkers are in excellent condition (lots of sand). Overall, a nice day of golf.

Beautiful golf course

We played this course in the high season and were amazed that there was relatively little activity. The complex is very well maintained and the hotel, clubhouse and restaurant are inviting. Those staying at the hotel have the choice between the guest rooms in the clubhouse or the traditional rooms in the castle.
We played the course twice during our stay and would play it again anytime. The special feature is the varied design: the first nine lanes are flat and run along various ponds (links course), while the back nine are hilly and without water.

Very beautiful.

As a preliminary gesag that I only had time to play the first 9 and the (very friendly) reception firstonce 39, -. EUR (dinner at 6) for half a lap incl should pay range balls again - it seemed to me - all the mediocre Courses in France and Germany in mind - a bit much. I was positive disabused: already the first tee is quite respectable, then it goes out of the wooded part also in the weaker holes, then "back in the woods", aground on top form. This "inner" parkland holes (5-9) in the middle ancient tree population are simply very fine only be described as very. The condition was the beginning of September (after a very wet summer) as well as very good to just one green in the shade all day obviously had problems. This place was a consistently positive surprise for me.

A great day

On the dirt road like How it feels just as on the wrong path, but then the castle silhouette, a friendly welcome, reasonable prices appear (note the seniors fares!) And a well-kept place, which can be a real joy for the game.
The clubhouse offers a lunch service that makes real desire on the second 9-holes. My wife and I have already planned the third visit for 2010. The course is playable for beginners.
