Designed by Olivier Dongradi in 1995, the 18-hole championship course winds through a magnificent 100-hectare park, utilizing the natural woodlands and river to create a technical layout. Beyond the fairways, the 5-star hotel resides in a 17th-century castle. If the 'Roi du Soleil' had played golf, he would surely have played here. 18 fantastic holes in the castle grounds. The course isn't very long, but you have to place the ball precisely. We're convinced a second round would make everything easier.
The aperitif with a view of the 18th hole helps you forget those bad shots. I'd do it again anytime.

Very demanding place with a very good price-performance ratio. Probably the best course we have played in France. The back nine are significantly heavier than the front nine. On the first 9, only water comes into play, which is easy to calculate. On the back nine, space knowledge is rather mandatory. Otherwise you will experience nasty surprises. On the 16 (from white) you should know and be able to allude to the landing points (not the landing zones), otherwise dramas will arise.
The only downer was the bunkers. All in all a successful, varied day of golf.

Augerville is definitely a golf highlight - almost everything is right, even the price-performance ratio (less than € 40 per round).
the course is very varied and requires a good dose of golf tactics. so just playing down is definitely not enough here.
The topography is hilly and the golfer is sometimes challenged by very difficult undulating greens. only the grass quality of the greens was partially slightly poor.
The sand bunkers are completely useless (there is enough!): pure concrete. simply to forget!
Despite these two shortcomings, this place is easily enough for 5 stars.
