Golf Dobrouc is future gem on map of Czech golf. Now its raw diamond, what have to be polished.
I could leave it like this but I will explain.
This golf course is quite far from my home so it was all day trip. Its well hidden its a bit difficult to find it, bigger signs would help.
Because its a new course I did not judge the look of the parking or etc, I hope it will improve. Clubhouse is nice and small, friendly place. Honestly not sure how they will hold a bigger events with like 100 players, that might be a big issue there, they need to learn a lot. Checking process was quite fast and simple, you can get a birdie card and logo ball, no need to buy whole pack. Training amenities are just next to club house. Now to the course. I did not judge much quality of the grass of greens or tee, reason is simple, this course need some time and growth. We spoke with owner and his approach is more bio no chemicals, so will see in few years if it will pay out. At the moment there are deep heavy roughs, very fast greens difficult to read and stop the ball. Fairways are hard as well they run fast. Be prepared for smart play, no long hits, its technical course. There are no outs, all course is surrounded with electrical fence, marked as red water. Take enough balls :D Layout is awesome, front nine is beautiful, some people call it Czech Adamstal, I would say more like Ypsilon course in Czech, back nine at last part of it is like Pysely golf course more meadows and like links course.
I love 3 pars there a beautiful shots, for me signature hole I would say 7,9,10,15. For me a bit disappointment was 18 I expected something else.
What I would suggest to change is distance markers, they look great from design point of view, but its difficult to seen them from distance, I mean color of it and also measure their distance with range finder. So overall, this course is must to see and play, surrounding is beautiful, great nature, quite place, pleasant and friendly people there. I will definitely come again to reevaluate if needed.
