Walking stamina required.

Holes that range from interesting to odd, few are dull though. Hefty downhill or uphill climbing at a few holes requires walking strength.

Golf monster in Provence

A real Pete Dye – challenging, varied and scenic for long hitters

The course bears the unmistakable signature of Pete Dye: numerous bunkers, numerous water hazards, and strategically challenging holes demand a well-thought-out game. The course is beautifully nestled in the hilly landscape and offers a challenging layout with magnificent views.

A cart is highly recommended – not only because of the sometimes longer distances, but especially because of the significant elevation changes on some holes. Orientation on the course is good, even though some holes have tee shots "into the unknown." These challenges are easily overcome thanks to precise distance information and good signage.

Despite the extreme heat (36°C during my visit), the course was generally well maintained. The greens were fast, true to line, and in immaculate condition. The hilly fairways had drier sections in places, which sometimes caused balls to bounce out of control – this increased the difficulty but didn't detract from the enjoyment.

An important note for summer: There is no halfway station—hole 10 continues directly, and the clubhouse is only accessible by cart. Bringing plenty of water is therefore a must.

The green fee of €75 is absolutely reasonable considering the design, condition, and quality of play. The pro shop, while rather small, offers everything you need for your round, including logo shirts and balls.

Conclusion: A course that should definitely be included during a golfing holiday on the Côte d'Azur. Challenging, scenically attractive, and a true highlight among the region's courses.

Once is enough..

We can only fully agree with the previous speaker "HeinzG". He described it wonderfully. Even in September '22, three years later, nothing has changed, only that the greens were still super fast. The condition was good. Despite the drought that summer everything was nice and green. It's also not without danger all the way up and down the mountain. We already had the first failure at hole two (skewed with a foot on the slopes). A cart is definitely recommended. After the round we (HCP 1,3, 7,14,15 and 17) were all exhausted (without a cart) and frustrated. We felt the same way in the restaurant. No greeting and annoyed service, even though we were the only guests. As a hotel golf course, in our opinion, not at all suitable, since a hotel guest does not do it twice.
