Yesterday, the three of us – three “unexpectedly fit” seniors – were out and about at the GCC Winterswyk – and it was simply wonderful!
🌿 The course is stunningly beautiful: spacious, well-maintained, and nestled in lush nature. The par-3 holes are particularly well-designed—short, crisp, and beautifully designed.
Overall, a great balance of fair challenge and enjoyment.
🚶♂️ The course is pleasantly flat, perfect for people like us who enjoy walking but don't want to climb a mountain. Perfect for golfers who aren't quite in top shape.
⛳ Smooth gameplay and calm: We hardly encountered anyone—even on a Friday afternoon, there was enough distance. It was great because we got through quickly—no stress, no waiting.
🏌️♂️ Practice options: Driving range, pitch & putt, bunker training – everything is there, well maintained, so beginners and professionals alike can practice.
🏡 Clubhouse & Staff: Cozy, modern, with a good selection of drinks and fair prices. Particularly noteworthy: The entire team—from reception to service—was friendly, helpful, and professional.
😂 Our highlight of the round: pure fun – and yes, we lost a few balls in the ponds. But with laughter, patience – and, of course, community. Golf, after all!
Conclusion:
For us three seniors, GCC Winterswyk was a great choice: flat, fair, relaxed, yet challenging enough—with great practice opportunities, a relaxed flow, and friendly staff. We'd love to come back—even if the ponds will probably accommodate a few more balls. 😉🏌🏽♂️⛳️

This detour during a visit to Münsterland was really worth it. Wonderful morning atmosphere in September on this very well-kept and varied place with many trees and some ponds.
