Characteristics
The course spreads from the lakeside of the Wiesensee into the hilly landscape of the Westerwald. You play more than half of the 18-hole championship course accompanied by an old stock of trees. Raw diamond in the Westerwald - highly recommended!

Scenic very attractive and well-designed course with many differences in height and slopes. Sometimes cleverly designed water hazards or narrow forest passages. Old trees and often wider fairways. Still, not easy to play, but rather demanding. Often magnificent views of the Wiesensee and the Westerwald. In any case, 4.5 stars, including the beautifully landscaped club terrace. The last half star can only be forgiven for not so good signposting the tracks to the next tee and not so nice design of the tees. In addition, fairways and greens could still be refinished, but this may also be due to the early season.
Overall, a place that should count by its unspoiled nature and spaciousness to the most beautiful places far and wide. We will come back.

We were in June 2016, a group of seniors at the hotel and had the pleasure of playing this beautiful place. The place is characterized by old trees, left unchanged in all the years of existence. Great quality of the fairways and greens. It's always fun to play this course (several times). The associated hotel with its beautiful SPA area does the rest to do so. Food was excellent buffet style. We surely come again.

The place is super clean and nicely fitted into the surrounding area. There is - as is customary in the Westerwald - up and down. Only the way from 6 to 7 is much too long. Who does not want to go the full 18 holes, can either rotate a 9 hole round or, if not much is going on, to abbreviate several holes.
Otherwise, you can clearly see who would like to have on the course of the Operator: the hotel guests. These are the only ones who pay the court a reasonable green fee. All other numbers up to 80, - €. The 10, - € for the driving range and 3, - € for 30 balls are priced also at the upper end.
Overall, the Wiesensee can not keep up with the less than 20 km distant place on three fields Weiher therefore, in my view.
