Characteristics
The course is situated on the premises of a former farm estate owned by the princes of Solms-Braunfels in the undulating landscape of the northern foothills of the Taunus. Set up on a slightly undulating terrain with wet biotopes and very old ponds, the course runs past trees a few hundred years of age and chestnut-lined roads until it reaches the peak of the course providing a terrific view of the Lahn-Dill district.

Demanding but a lot of fun

A beautiful grown up course, lined by an abundance of old trees. It has a hilly terrain and some blind teeshots but plays very well. We walked the course and i must say that it can be somehow physically demanding but it´s no big deal. The quality of the course was great, some dried out patches of grass here and there, but this is summer. The greens are comparatively small and you need a precise game to go for par on that course. In the end we really enjoyed playing it and i can only recommend it if you are around the beautiful town of Wetzlar.

This course is well worth a visit. Very well maintained (extra points for the greenkeepers!) with some fantastic views of the castle and surrounding countryside. A challenging course that demands both physical fitness and a good level of play. Excellent restaurant, very friendly reception staff, and accommodating members. We'll definitely be back.
