Characteristics
The course was opened up in 1928, the foundation was in 1933. The course is embedded in the beautiful landscape and on the subtropical penisula in an altitude of 200 m directly over the Lago Maggiore. Surrounded by a fascinating mountan range it is a true jewel. The narrow fairways, lined by an old stock of trees, carefully guarded by bunkers, are in conection with doglegs and water also a challenge for good players.

We were looking forward to playing on a well-maintained course but the opposite happened.
The fairways were unkempt and overgrown with top-quality grass. Fairway shots could not be executed optimally. Balls did not roll on the greens because the cut was too high.

Very nicely laid out course with very old trees. Green fee is now at the upper limit. What we didn't like at all is the generally poor condition of the course: the tee area is sometimes very bad with lots of weeds and bare patches. The greens could also be better.
