Characteristics
Lanzo is a golf course in the mountains in an altitude of 1.000 metres above the Lugane Lake and in immediate proximity of the Swiss border. The course is located in a beautiful landscape, is despite its limited length varied and because of the clever use of the holes with two tees very interesting. Thanks to the vicinity of the lake the climat is very mild despite the altitude so that the course is playable from May to October.

The 9-hole Lanzo forest course is located on the Swiss border. It has beautiful, sometimes narrow fairways and is a fully-fledged golf course in all areas.
In general, many 9-hole courses in Northern Italy are real gems that should not be missed. Lanzo is one of the best 20 9-hole courses in Italy.

Condition:
Pleasantly good! Some of the more sophisticated clubs in the area could learn a thing or two from this. Lush, well-maintained fairways. Beautiful (somewhat slow) greens, playable bunkers.
Staff:
Very friendly, uncomplicated and helpful.
Restaurant:
Simple and family-friendly. The kitchen was closed when we visited, but we still got a plate of vegetables with burata. Wonderful!
Arrival:
Yes, a bit adventurous. When coming from Maroggia (Ticino), you should make sure that the frontalieri are not driving in the opposite direction - otherwise you risk having to do one evasive maneuver after another...
