The Golf-Club is situated in a scenic landscape between Düsseldorf, the capital of North Rhine Westphalia, and the Bergische Land. Golfers have the choice between two courses, which are very different from each other. The western course is relatively short, but its slopes and small greens are quite testing. The championship course already hosted the German Open a few times.

I played the East Course for the first time on August 23,2024 as part of a tournament. The course was in excellent condition. The fairways and greens were well maintained. The parkland design is challenging, but never unfair. Even as an intermediate HC player, I got along well. You should be a good walker, as the hilly landscape demands a bit of stamina. But the fun factor is very high.
The staff are extremely polite and helpful. The driving range and putting greens leave nothing to be desired.
Overall, a great golfing experience that I would happily repeat.
If there were 4.5 stars, I would have given them. But "only" 4 stars, because golf courses like Abama Golf or Monte Rei simply stand out.

The West Course, with many short par 4 holes and significantly smaller greens (compared to the East Course), has a lot of charm!
The “small 18-hole course” is always worth a round next to its big championship brother! The front desk staff was still just as nice as they were in 2015!

The Düsseldorf Golf and Country Club Hubbelrath is an excellent parkland or forest course that is very hilly. The often heavily undulating fairways are bordered by a beautiful and well-kept mixed forest, where you can play in wonderful tranquility. The fairways often hang sideways, but are wide enough to be easy to play. The hilly landscape offers spectacular tees again and again (tracks 1,10,12). The many doglegs and especially the super placed greens guarded by deep bunkers always require a precise approach, especially since they are very fast and undulating. Hole 7 with the wonderful stroke over the water was the “signature hole” for me.
The course maintenance was excellent, the greenkeepers were friendly and considerate and the members were all friendly (so I can't share the criticism of another reviewer).
It doesn't often happen that I say to myself several times: “What a great meadow”, hence five stars!
