Spectacular view, good course

A spectaculat setting on a plateau high in the mountains with stunning views. Two different nines with the first in quite tight forest and the back nine out in the open. In good condition and a fair test. In our trip in the Bolzano region it would rate quite highly. Sparse pro shop but excellent food.

My wife and I played this course this summer and found the layout and condition to be excellent. The views are breathtaking and the staff were friendly and courteous. I would recommend it to anyone who plays and is in the area. There was however a downside to our day. The rental clubs we had to pay for would not have made it in a garage sale of junk. They were odds and end which they must have picked up from used club sales after anything good had been sold. It would not hurt them to at least put in a couple of sets of good rental clubs for visitors who may want to take advantage of what is a hidden jewel.

The first new holes are difficult to play as the lanes are very narrow and are closely lined with many trees. Water also often comes into play. Certainly quite difficult for players with a higher handicap or you should be prepared for a slow pace. So you often have to look for balls - or play back on the fairway between trees. Precise play is required on the first nine, otherwise there will be great difficulties if you end up in the trees or in the forest.
The fairways and greens were in good condition - of course there was one or the other spot on the fairways or the greens that was no longer in top condition, depending on the season. Overall, the greens were mowed short and relatively fast. There was no water on the fairways and they were easy to play everywhere. Overall, the complex looks very well-kept.
The character of the second nine is fundamentally different from the first nine. If you go to tee off the 10, the forest opens up and you can enjoy the view of an impressive panorama. The driving range is spacious and very long. The golf course can be tackled on foot with a trolley or cart. Those who are reasonably good on foot can walk well here.
Overall, one of the most beautiful golf courses that I have played in South Tyrol / Trentino. If you are in the region and play golf, you should play the Dolomiti Golf Club!
