The hidden gem is situated in an undulating landscape close to the Swiss border, some 30 minutes from Basel. . The Largue, is the small river, which gave the golf club it`s name, winds through the lower part of the course. LaLargue is an absolute must play course in the region.

It's a beautiful golf course, in a forest clearing. Lanes 1,2, 7,8, 9,10,11,13,17,18 are real natural lanes! Forest, water and uphill - downhill!
For me a 3.5 star place, I find the fee a bit too expensive!

The journey from Basel through the small Alsatian villages can almost be described as romantic. The complex looks generous, but (especially club house and restaurant) was getting pretty old. The course is divided into two very different halves: Most open the first 9, challenging with high forest share the second half. There is no building (except club and halfway house) over the whole 18 holes - wonderful! The design is more classic, with a limited number of well-placed bunkers and a steady ups and downs. Water comes back into play time and time again, requiring good strategic planning from the player. The difficulty and class of the holes is quite different. Especially exciting are the middle part (7-11) and the last hole. Not only does it need a precise drive, but it also needs a very good approach to attack the very high greens.
