Characteristics
The golf course Cansiglio is situated in an altitude of 1.000 m in the forest of Cansiglio and is a mountainous course. Styled in 1956 according to plans by Robert Trent Jones, the course spreads over moderately wavy terrain with thick soft gras and framed by trees giving shadow, behind which the glittering peeks of the Dolomites tower.

This course is by far my favorite course in Italy. The altitude allows my drives to fly further than ever and there is no part of the course that you can not take in a bad view. You're surrounded by mountains and pine trees. My favorite hole is #10, where you climb up to a ski lift and hit your tee shot straight down over a water hazard. While you're waiting on the tee box, you can see for miles and just enjoy the scenery. The staff are extremely friendly.
