Characteristics
The golf course in Brigels is on the scenic "Tschuppina" plateau. It has been designed by architect Mario Verdieri using the natural contours of the area. The view is spectacular and we benefit from a great deal of sunshine which allows us to remain open between April and November.

Our friend said the place was expanded. He isn't. Parking lot and clubhouse are temporary or containers. Ugly. We're based in Sussex and our place is top 20 in the UK but this one in Brigels? Everything is not finished and set up as a hobby. Campers in the parking lot and hikers on the golf course. They are also traveling with equipment that we threw away 20 years ago. This is also the case on the pitch. Bunker, catastrophe, green catastrophe, fairway double catastrophe, skill level triple catastrophe. Unfortunately no recommendation and not expanded, only 9 holes but the price of an 18 hole course. It's bad, you can watch the people who don't have any labels and aren't ready for a place. Here in the UK you have to complete a round of the course with the Pro. These wouldn't be capable. We also wanted dinner,

It's astonishing what's being written about Brigels here. The suspicion that insiders are artificially inflating the rating is certainly justified. The negativity of some of the comments is also concerning. There's no need for a presidential or secretariat pat on the back about how wonderfully everyone works; they're compensated with a nice green fee. And the best course in the Surselva region? Well, certainly better than Sedrun, but clearly behind Sagogn. The facts, in my opinion, are as follows: The driving range isn't up to golf course standards, the course itself is certainly well-maintained with room for improvement on the tees and approach. The clubhouse is rather inadequate, if not nonexistent. The restaurant is abysmal; if it's open at all, it offers more fast food than anything appealing. The course's difficulty is suitable for beginners, but for good players, the layout is sometimes unclear, likely due to the terrain. The surroundings and views are superb, guaranteeing a pleasant and varied round. If possible, always book a buggy; golf and alpine hiking alternate constantly here.

A wonderful place for beginners

We are golf novices and Brigels was highly recommended to us during the beginner's course. It lived up to the hype. We had the course to ourselves and were never disturbed, except perhaps by the sound of cowbells, which was lovely. Since we always kept our balls in the middle of the fairways, we didn't lose a single ball. No one seemed to mind that we only managed to hit the ball about 70 meters and needed 6-7 strokes to reach the green. It was wonderful; this is how we enjoy golf so much. Max played brilliantly and only needed a little over 150 strokes for the 18 holes, while I unfortunately took a bit more. But no one was pushy or complained, and we'd love to come back. The restaurant was unfortunately closed, so we had to have dinner at the Alpina restaurant, which was excellent. Brigels is simply fantastic. Best regards, Rosmarie and Max Würmli
