Characteristics
Situated only 5 miles from the city of Bonn, this course runs straight through the lush woodlands of a plateau. As many as 16 holes are surrounded almost completely by forests and quite narrow, thus calling for quite precise shots. A careful arrangement of bunkers and the water hazards at holes 9, 12, and 15 successfully obstruct the way to the green. All in all a sophisticated, idyllic, and very quiet location.

A very special day of golf!

I played the course yesterday (08/12/2023) with my father. He's played it a few times already. For me it was the first time. In summary, I can say... just great! The club fulfills the very lofty promise written in large letters on the facade of the secretariat: "WE WISH YOU A VERY SPECIAL DAY". Those are big words. That raised my expectations significantly. It was not fulfilled! You have been outdone! We really had a very special day of golf.
We were greeted very friendly by Mrs. Scholz in the secretariat. After the round we cleaned our shoes. Meanwhile, Mrs. Scholz came out of her office and asked us how we liked it and we had a short conversation. That's what I call attentive and a sign that we were valued as guests. I've rarely seen that before.
The parkland course is beautifully situated. The tracks are quite wide, but sometimes very treacherous. The place is very varied. The condition was perfect! Starting with the tees, through the fairways to the greens. Just great! The Greenkeeper team is obviously doing a very good job here.
Only holes 1 and 2 don't quite match the rest. And by that I don't mean the quality of the two holes. If you play it, you'll know what I mean :-)
Partly it is quite hilly, but very easy to walk. It doesn't necessarily need a cart.
After the round we went to the club restaurant. Again, the staff was very friendly. The food was good and you sit on the covered terrace with a view of lanes 10 and 18 very nice.
Thank you to the club and staff for a truly VERY SPECIAL DAY.
Anyone who is nearby should definitely play the course. We will be back definitely.

Beautiful parkland course with very old trees. Hilly, arduous climbs around hole 3 and hole 11. In the event of a repeat, I will do without a cart again. Well cared for on the day of play, where not watered due to the tall trees, quite dry. Many tees with more earth than grass. Great setting. Deer left of the 16th men's tee on matchday. A "crocodile" was also spotted in one of the ponds. Take your time for the view at Tee 2 (or FW 9) for Drachenfels and Petersberg. Changed path order, the first and second nine were swapped.
