Those who play golf in Le Betulle are time and time again surprised by the magnificent surroundings. The views are breath-taking- on the left-hand side the moraine hills Serra and behind them the Alps, which seem to form the border of the Biella Golf Club. The course is situated in an altitude of 600 m and was built in 1957 by the english architect John Morrison.

Very nice place; unfortunately with an unnecessary member habit.

A very well-maintained golf course on undulating/hilly terrain in a wooded setting. Interesting and varied. Medium difficulty. Easily walkable. The greens are mostly quite large (and undulating), so it would be helpful if the white/yellow/red flags (front/middle/back) marked the hole positions. Unfortunately, they only have red flags.
What's really annoying, though, is this: the club members have gotten into the habit of *pushing* their way into the field at hole 10 if they only want to play 9 holes – it's more convenient because it's 250m shorter than to tee 1. The consequences are obvious: the flow of play on the course is ruined from the 10th hole onwards.
That's why I'll be avoiding Biella in the future. What a shame.
The 19th hole is definitely worth a culinary stop.

In June 2025, we spent a week at the Hotel La Betulle and played the course three times. A gem set in a wonderful park landscape. Excellently maintained despite the heavy rain in May. And the best part: we were almost alone on the course during the week, with no crowds at the start. A second pleasure, too. Anyone in the area should play the course. We'll definitely be back.
