Characteristics
The course of the GC Barbarossa spreads over a 80 ha large area at an altitude of 300 m in the north-west of Kaiserslautern. The course is located in a softly hilly terrain and offers a wonderful view south on the edges of the Palatinate Forest and the region Sickinger Höhe. The holes are separated by the water course in combination with a wet biotope. The course demands a precise game.

Be careful when using vouchers

It is a good and challenging golf course. It's quite long and with obstacles. It's hard to get a good result. It's a challenge for every player.
Nevertheless, I have to complain that the clubs, without prior notice, canceled the voucher “2 green fees for the price of 1” in golf guides. They did give the discount at a more normal price, but that's not what they promised. I don't think that's fair. I've been there twice in low season and each time there is a different excuse. That doesn't go well with the beautiful club.

It is one of our favorite places, very varied and a great and very friendly staff. It's like coming home every time. Par 74, the lanes alternate between long and short, island green, uphill and down. There's something for everyone.
The condition of the fairways is due to the dryness, but the greens are in good shape.

Friendly staff, both on the phone and on site, and friendly greeting members. Practice area nice, but the balls are no longer the best. Simple and sometimes short courses alternate nicely with more difficult ones. I liked the back ones in the forest very much, the front part is rather open. Slightly hilly but nice to walk. Nice tee boxes. Some ponds and lakes, beautiful trees and views of the area. The proximity to Ramstein Airport could be disruptive if the Americans fly their circles. Greens were a bit bumpy, but will certainly get better. Perhaps due to short-time working in times of the Corona crisis. Excellent price / performance ratio for me. EUR 55.00 on weekdays. Restaurant still closed, would have liked to eat and drink something on the terrace. From there a great view of the fairways. I would play here again anytime. Thanks a lot.
