A Difficult Inland Links Not For The Fainthearted.

Like the other reviews state... you need to bring your A game to the Faldo Platz. It is a serious course, well designed inland links style, and you need to be accurate in order to stay out of the bunkers and enjoy the day.

The Palmer course is parkland and a lot easier on your body & soul. A pleasant parkland design where you can shape your ball around the lush trees. A must visit course even if it's just for the reference point of how tough a serious golf course can be.

Bad Saarow tournament week 2019 - Stan Eby place

I have 1.7. there in the course of the tournament week (which by the way is very attractive, unfortunately I was only able to play on the first day) played the Stan Eby place. Organization, place condition, tournament coaching, a blast, just outstanding.
The Stan Eby course - is rated as the "lightest", a links course with fairly open fairways and a nice layout. Is a bit further from the hotel (Silberberg), but there parking. Unfortunately, there are only old trolleys available (TIP: straps or rubber useful, so as not to "lose" the bag in slopes). Beautiful place that has its pitfalls, but always fair. Suitable for all levels!
The golf course is - other than formulated here in the info - but only at https: // www. gcbadsaarow. to reach. The Sporting Club does not exist anymore.
Directions from Berlin a good hour (depending on the storage situation), 70km.
Next year I would like to use the offer including hotel to play all 3 places in a row.
I'll be back!

Arnold Palmer TOP - Faldo okay

Arnold Palmer:
We have played there 3 times this year. Definitely one of the best courses (parkland) in Berlin-Brandenburg. Care condition in general. Great greens, very well maintained fairways and discounts. Some of the bunkers could use a little more sand. But it can also be that this had to do with the storms of the last time and the sand simply too much condensed. Then one would simply have to go through the machine several times with the machine.
Nothing destotrotz a great place, which calls after a repetition.

Faldo:
We had the place last year, but felt it as (to our taste) "boring". Link courses are definitely different. Only the pot bunkers on the fairways recall that this is a link course.
The condition at that time was very good. However, one expects of the name Faldo and the rather high green fee actually more.

We would definitely choose the Arnold Palmer again.

Gastro:
At tournaments we have had good experiences.
During the normal visit, we are unfortunately already times. Monday is the day of rest and when we were there last Tuesday was also closed. They referred us to the hotel, where, on the other hand, a limited meeting was possible due to a conference.
This has clouded the Golftag somewhat, especially since one could have indicated during the booking of the start time that the restaurant is actually closed on this day.
The prices are "sporty" - but one does not go there also to eat particularly cheap and to drink.

We will come back anyway

Nick Faldo was an experience

I played the Nick Faldo course in mid-April, and it was great. For the season a super care condition. Moreover, still on offer on a holiday for 60 euros. The place is also a real experience. With the many bunkers you should already think about where to play out and would rather submit a times more. So I thought it was a great experience, and will certainly do it again.

Beautiful places, unfortunately, very poor organization in gastronomy

We have experienced over the weekend with 4 2 beautiful golf rounds. The seats were in for the season very good condition. Unfortunately, since forming the positive representations.
On Saturday we were asked when ordering coffee and cake to leave the area quickly. When we tried again on Sunday after playing the Stan Eby cakes to order, was rejected by reference to an event. On both days, the terrace was visited at this time of less than 25 people.
Even our second group (18 people) who were guests at the hotel, got to eat quickly pointing out.
A system with this self must be capable of a tournament and a plurality of hotel guests and green fee to host parallel. Otherwise, guests stay in the future. Who wants to feel in his spare time as a guest 3. class.
I hope something changes. The men's group does not come, at least back next year.

Top conditioning in Berlin Brandenburg

Can not understand the negative reviews. Since I play in three leagues and privately go to see many different places, I can say that one by far has the best places with the highest quality in Berlin Brandenburg in Saarow with Seddin.

Overpriced

We played last week Stan Eby and Palmer. First negative surprise: Fridays you pay already the weekend rate!
For the called green fee rates (80 and 90 EUR) there are far nicer and gepflegtere plants in Germany!
Here Stan Eby is still the more varied course with some view of the region. Difficulties for the well-protected greens. Palmer, however, is pretty boring at first 9. Hardly grounds, only forest aisles. In the second 9, we go to a little hilly and varied. Web 16 is half a (hotel?) Construction fell victim and is thereby a short par 3 course has not reduced green fees...
After the round we wanted in the clubhouse a little food. Unfortunately, you dismissed us because for 2 tournaments space was kept free.
Conclusion: you can have - not have to but

Very nice facility

we (HC 19 & 25) have played all places within the 3 days / 3 courses offer in June 2016

Stan Eby:
Somewhat remote, but who asks in the clubhouse after the way the is either a cart, or the car is recommended for arrival. Who does not ask, just have to walk the 3km.
The place itself was nice to play - for me 3rd place of places there

Palmer:
as mentioned in other reviews, a beautiful parkland course. From maintenance condition ago mE slightly worse than Eby & Faldo

Faldo:
was our highlight! Care status 1A and despite coming on rain (negative: there is unfortunately only 1 shelter over the place) we both have this place to the guests. This may also be because, that we were able to avoid most of the abundant bunkers. I also think that it in this space does not necessarily make the length (I had just one H3 and no driver and have my HC played). Rather, one should worry with reference to the tables at the tee WHERE TO hinspielt the ball, if you occasionally rather not submit. So a bogey is usually there and with a (happy) Put sometimes a Par Conclusion: nix for "Bruiser's" and it is absolutely to know its beneficial lengths;. O)

More shine than reality

I, for one have decided to be the last time in Bad Saarow. Around € 2.50 drink. Normally you count € 1.50. But it gets even better... For 3 piece 0.4 liters Tonic Water wanted to have me € 21. We played Jungsenioren Callenger there and there you have left the golfers at almost 30 degrees without round refreshments. I think this is almost injury. The staff is extremely rude and you will be treated by any Milchbubis only from the top down. From the clubhouse to Stan Eby, Tee 1, there are almost 3 km. At least the spirit of amateur golf is get lost there.

Strong Resort, but...!

Bad Sarrow is a great golf resort in Germany! However, I think (almost 600 played places) courses overrated!

Stan Eby:
A nice varied place of can come up with some top holes! Thankfully much he plans of the arrogant Nick Faldo avoid becoming a victim, who appeared shirt for German Ryder Cup application lumberjack!!!

Palmer:
Beautiful parkland course, believe in my Germany ranking to 35th place!

Faldo Course:
Who knows played Winston links or sand (sweden) as inland courses look in Links Style! I have no pot bunkers and the sandy soil, as they mainly have pine forest areas in Germany! The place is mainly due to its length very difficult Visually, it is good but not nearly as where he is praised there! With me around 20-25...

Bad Sarrow is overrated, but finally one of our best golf resorts in Germany!
The location is generally fantastic!

Greenfee luck?

Today we played for the 2nd time the short course with friends who have just taken the handicap. The site has been a good experience, it's good for beginners to practice.
However, a catastrophe is the pricing policy. On the website is valid for hotel guests and guests from Monday to Sunday, a green fee 20.00.
Last week you wanted of us have 25.00, this week it was already 30.00. After several discussions and reference to the website you then let us play for 20.00. Obviously calls already the Ryder Cup because you need probably a little more revenue.
Then please post on the website.

Well

've Recently played here and which has to be right, which denote the Nick Faldo Course to be extremely difficult. I have a 14er Hcp and also a healthy length, you need to have par-chances.
In short: For me, the entire Number one was too big, really have fun here probably more professional golfers. Very annoying that you have little chance to find warped balls again. To best it only captures not have to look at the the rough is really brutal. If you know the Course, you can probably avoid with good iron play the many and deep fairway pot bunker. Fun does not do that and to play his Hcp approximately, you can forget.
The Palmer Course on the other hand is a show, beautiful and above all fair. If this course would not, I would rather recommend to sail there and enjoy the great facility.

Beautiful Places

Jake McEwan Course:
9-hole field! Only what to practice the short game.

Stan Eby:
Looks easier than it is. Partial treacherous greens. Beautiful relaxed games with various challenges. ME is rated wrongly as rather uninteresting. To play well in any case for players with a higher handicap.

Arnold Palmer Course:
Class parkland course suitable for all levels, just nice golf game to wide variety of delicious tracks.

Nick Faldo Course:
Discerning links course, one should not go left and to the right to play of their own HCP on the round. If then each beat is played strategically, it should work with a beautiful round. Did not have to play one of the common Bunker in this way.

All courses have places larger brown spots on the fairways, but overall was still within an acceptable range (August 2014).

Palmer - 12 How does this place on No in the Top 100 Courses of Germany.?

Here, the "Contributor" by Golf Digest have let obviously blinded by the name PALMER.
The first 9 holes are rather monotonous, but then the second nine to play interesting and challenging.
The condition was not outstanding, especially the reductions were not beautiful; the greens were good.
All in all rather disappointing.

Palmer 5 stars, Faldo 4.5 stars

I have this summer, the two top places allowed to play and was especially thrilled by Palmer.

Place State:
Both perfectly. It's fun!

Course layout:

Faldo: A domestic links course that has it all. The many pot bunkers (on the fairway) are constantly in play, water, however rarely. The Faldo Course is supposed to be the hardest course in Germany, but I never felt it was unfair - somehow he must have "shown teeth" its charming. A good score stands or falls with the likely Avoid the fairway bunkers, because the cost otherwise always a hit separately. In conclusion it should be mentioned that I feel (as a man) Course for the ladies as very crisp, as the ladies tees (red) are never slightly shorter than that of men (yellow).

Palmer: A wunderschönder parkland course and no less difficult (a slope less point)! Is in my view wrongly always a little in the shadow of Faldo. Captures scenic first a little unspectacular, but increases continuously with beautiful tracks such example of the sensational 9 or 18! Because of the forest on the left and on the right is much in demand on the back-nine precision.

Gastro / Club House:
Very well maintained, friendly staff. Beautiful terrace overlooking the 18th green of the

Directions:
The resort is pretty far off the beaten path. Also the center of Berlin is sometimes loosely schedule one hours - is not time to do so quickly in passing...

Overall conclusion:
This can be very great golf!
110 EUR greenfee I find the Faldo but covered (may also be because I'm not a big fan of links), so this only 4.5 stars.
Palmer gets the full 5 stars, especially since his regular 80 EUR, Sunset fare of 40 EUR price is very attractive even! Here I definitely play at the next opportunity!

Lots of light - some shade

Have both mid-August as the Faldo played the Palmer Course.

Light: worth for my taste wonderfully designed spaces and because of the different characteristics ALWAYS a trip. Due to the relatively small number of club members to not have problems tee times.
Great and super fast greens!
Shadows: the long drought had already added the squares visible, but I was really upset to see that apparently no one has heard of resetting Divits. ... In other systems, there is a place for such cases Sheriff!

hence only 4 stars!

Overrated

During our visit there in May 2013 (hcp 24 and 18) we were really looking forward to this highly acclaimed, Europe supposedly best domestic links course and also at 110 € really expensive place.
Unfortunately, keeps the space is not what is promised as: compared to real links courses he cuts off badly. Monotonous fairways, known as pot bunkers are not, for they are but erher unfairly distributed. The discounts were not well maintained.
All in all, the place is not worth the money. Who wants to experience a great left-Course, BUDERSAND must play on Sylt (significantly cheaper). We would our golf-playing pleasures not recommend this place.

By far the best investment in eastern Germany

I have the luck to live nearby, which makes it possible to play here every now and then on all courses 3.5. Everyone has the opportunity to play here should be best time to register for 63-hole tournament, which is played at the summer solstice, (minimum 24 HCP) then you have played all the courses in one day.
The 3 times 18 holes are so different in nature that it would be a book to describe everything.

Here is all of it!

Faldo Course:
Hammer Hart. A true links course in the middle of Brandenburg. Very well maintained, very many pot bunkers, very difficult! Almost unfair.

Palmer Course:
Bursting the course at the resort. A dream oats parkland course in American style.

Eby Course:
A little off. Without trees. Nothing special. Rather boring.
